In Thailand. :) I actually love Thai pop music I think it's been great for over a decade, but it's mainly ballads and mid-tempo songs so nothing like Eurobeat.

I like more on this than the previous volume. My top highlights after more than just the initial listen: Rich Hard - On Your Wings. A bit like the Fastway track, well arranged in it's manic energy but with twists like how it turns in different direction from 'you' in the chorus. The screechy downwar...

So just catching up on things since I was last here.... Norma Sheffield has the stand out for me on this one. I know it might not seem quite like what she is known for and that might put some off at first. It is more Hi-NRG like a lot of eurobeat now, and her voice is slightly deeper perhaps (women'...

Falling Down is definitely good, would fit in my top 3 for Norma right now.

Touch Me Touch Me is my favourite by her. Love the opening section, the passion of the vocals in the chorus, the smooth integrating of various riffs throughout the song. The early 90s was a classic period for the style.

Just an update from me, The Frisbees song is definitely my favourite now. Some may not like the style it is in, but I think it is good for that style.

I'm glad to see more people are now liking the Dave Rodgers song. When I posted only one other person gave it a positive mention.

Maybe it doesn't have enough energy for some people or sound joyous enough for their taste, but melodically I think it is one of the best she has sang.

I don't think anyone has mentioned the song Sometimes in this thread, it's probably my second favourite after Touch Me Touch Me. Either nobody likes it or it isn't well known.

Best songs Eurodudes - Passport to Dance Quite good, chorus may not be interesting enough for me though, a bit too insistent on the hook so could get annoying. It may be the best on the album though. The Frisbees - Baby Go. Pretty catchy. May have needed a bit more to it to be a classic however, so ...

Best songs Dave Rodgers - Skylight. Reasonably inventive, not that predictable. Pretty impressive, not simplifying things too much so it might become more popular with more listening. Alix - Maximisin' Not bad, quite a few musical ideas. These 2 may have the best chance of becoming classics imo. fal...

I think it is hard to make out exactly what is being sung. It's the accent combined with the quicker speed that makes the words so hard to make out at times (for most people, not just Americans). If the vocal is put a bit higher in the mix compared to the other parts, which is normally more in the c...

The refrain and bridge is the most important part of the songs and the verse is always just an easy way to the refrain. The lyrics is based so it fits the melody in the refrain and is never built for anything else than the rythm and has rarly any meaning or context. Well some of them have strong ch...

Yeh well I'm not on IDW (wherever that is), and as you said elsewhere you are not a mod and yet you're acting like one. And then of course you get the opposite on forums where people say why have you started a new thread instead of searching and finding the relevant thread. Some forums indeed will m...
