Music that isn't eurobeat...

I'm just wondering: do any of you frequently listen to music that is non-eurobeat? Outside of my eurobeat collection, which takes up a large chunk of my iTunes library, I mostly have game soundtracks--pretty much nothing that any of my friends would recognize. I'm very worried that my taste in music...

Hmm...the sound seems to get stuck a little in places.

It's a nice video, though.

I started hearing Eurobeat on DDR, back when I thought everything electronic was "techno." That was over 4 years ago.

At first I wasn't so fond of Eurobeat but over time it grew on me, and now I love it.

I've come close to wanting to sing 777 out loud, even if it's in public.

I've let a few of my friends give eurobeat a listen, and they find it pretty cool.

I just don't like how some people refer to it as techno. But then again electronic music is not well-known here, resulting in quite a few generalizations about it.

How popular is Eurobeat in your area/school?

Where I attend school, there are a few people who listen to Eurobeat, though just the stuff from Initial D. There is NOBODY at school who is quite a fan of Eurobeat, aside from me.

I made some Eurobeat lyrics for a homework assignment a while back, on the Vietnam War. I thought it was pretty good when I printed it, but looking back at it, it seems like the cheesiest crap I've ever written. I'd love to share it here but it's not on my computer--it's in a notebook that I left in...

Tokyo, Japan's culture is just so interesting. I'd like to travel there at night someday. Also, Japan's arcade scene, compared to America's, is very lively and I'm an arcade fanatic, so I want to give games a try over there. As far as Eurobeat is concerned, being in Japan gives me a chance to hear E...

Yuzo Koshiro. He composed the soundtrack for Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune, and did a really good job on it. Namco's provided free MP3's of the soundtrack here: http://www.namco.co.jp/aa/am/vg/wanganmaxi2/bgm/special.php (I'd still buy the WMMT2 OST though, it's got songs from MT2 and different-sound...
