Re: YOU ARE MY LOVE/SKARLETT O’NEAL
It's actually pretty good! I love the slower, rockier groove it has compared to previous songs penned by Nick Festari. It's definitely a welcome comeback to eurobeat for Melody Castellari.

Re: Today's Tune
Uo34XyXgnxw Linda Ongarelli was one of the hottest titles in eurobeat throughout the late 2000s and early 2010s, but this forgotten track got pretty harsh reception here back when it came out. Looking back, however, I actually quite appreciate this song. It’s very different for eurobeat, both in te...

Re: Diego Mancino is De La Vega
Yeah, it definitely didn't sound like quite the same guy to me. Cheeseman similarly left Roberto out of the vocals column for De La Vega's songs. I figure Diego was simply hired to capitalize on the fresh style that Powerful T. brought to A-Beat C in the early 2000s!

Re: What happened to Christine?
After a bit of research, which required filtering out an American chef of the same name, I think I might have found out what Cristina Tosi is up to today. By the look of it, she's now the corporate marketing manager at MEC3, an Italian dessert company, which means she's spreading sweetness into the ...

Re: SEB continues
On the horizon a re-make of Lou Grant "Don't Stop The Music" 2018 probably together with Dave Rodgers, check out D. Di Marcantonio profile on FB. A second remake, huh? To be fair, making it a duet with Dave Rodgers, of all people, is at least charting new waters that the 2006 cover never ...

Re: Super Eurobeat Vol. 249
Norma consistently has limp, nasal, off-tune vocals. Time and time again, they kill all of the aishu tracks she performs that should have been handed to somebody with more control over her voice. Even before it was revealed Norma Sheffield wasn't actually Francesca Contini, I was simply never a fan...

Re: Super Eurobeat Vol. 249
Uhh....what's with the no international shipping from AmazonJP for this release??? Avex hates you and me and everybody else who doesn't live in Japan. They don't want eurobeat to be a widespread, digitally accessible genre for anybody who lives anywhere. No , listening to this music made in Italy i...

Re: Super Eurobeat Vol. 249
I don’t buy these albums, but I do want to say both discs have excellent selections of modern eurobeat. It’s great to see people haven’t totally forgotten about “Pararappa Dance”, “Let’s Go Wild!”, “With Your Photograph”, “Balalaika Vodka Rock’ N Roll”, “Crazy for Love”, and many others. Honestly, ...

Re: Eurobeat ripoffs/similarities to other songs
Isn't Oda's "Shy Gun" basically a not-too-subtle riff on Dead Or Alive's "You Spin Me Round"? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=emUvAN9Xbs0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PGNiXGX2nLU Yes, it is. A number of Mauro Farina songs also rip off the post-chorus hook of "You Spin Me...

Re: YOU ARE MY LOVE/SKARLETT O’NEAL
I think Melody's greatest two eurobeat songs are "Dancing in Maharaja" by Tri-Star and "Roppongi Carillon" by Blue Roses. Both are absolute classics that implement her voice to perfect effect, non-pitched and pitched, respectively. Melody Castellari was my favourite eurobeat sing...

Is this still happening? I’m not totally sure how SEPH has changed as of today, but I noticed taQ hasn’t posted in this thread recently.

Re: YOU ARE MY LOVE/SKARLETT O’NEAL
Melody Castellari was my favourite eurobeat singer 10 years ago, but it clearly seems like her voice really weakened over the course of time. Maybe it’s because she’s a smoker (based on her Facebook profile), or just that the pipes got fatigued from recording literally thousands of dance songs, euro...
