Re: "Considering recording Japanese production music" DJ Boss

Why not re-name the series Mega J-EuroBeat? Since Avex is apparently not re-contracting the Italian labels, it's not really fair to call it "eurobeat" since none of it would be Italo flavored. It would just be series with (cut off) Italo roots. Have you ever thought why only one CD series...

Re: Hinoky Team - another mystification to boost Eurobeat

Hard to deny, Hinoky Team was just Dave Rodgers, Alberto Contini, Sandro Oliva and Bratt Sinclaire. Is this confirmed? I always wondered who was Hinoky Team. 1. Edit : After our discussion, Sinclaire confirms what Crockett said 2. One of my private Facebook post once commented "hidden" A....

Hinoky Team - another mystification to boost Eurobeat

I didn't find a topic or post which revealed something about this. Who were the members of famous Hinoky Team ? Why we don't know anything about them ? Why until today Japanese don't know either, although all promotion concerned in those days only on selected main artists and successful producers ? ...

Trance

Trance is probably the most sophisticated sort of electronic music. Classic Trance has many features, it's sublime, thrilling, euphoric, uplifting, upbeat, mesmerizing, full of energy and melodic of course. It's all about building-up the atmosphere and tension through long transforming, progressive ...

Re: Top 10 Best and Worst Eurobeat Songs of All Time

Andrea Leonardi and Alessandra Mirka Gatti have both made countless songs I love. I don’t see the controversy in being wholly unimpressed by one shaky production from a quarter of a century ago, not to mention one that came during a time in which eurobeat was still struggling to redefine itself aft...

Re: Top 10 Best and Worst Eurobeat Songs of All Time

Top 10 Best: Top 10 Worst: I have been wondering what sense has and how anybody can select Top10 from several thousands songs of the genre ? How many favorite artists, tracks and labels I should ignore to squeeze everything in Top10 ? 8) Maybe Top50 is the least, enough number... Top10 is good when...

Re: Today's Tune

I understand what you mean. Still, also FCF had its share of faster songs in 1988. Seriously, as far as I remember, I can mention maybe 2 titles I would call a little bit faster in 1988, same for Aleph contribution in Asia Records, that's why I feel Derek Simon "Dance With Me" released in...

Re: Today's Tune

Derek Simon - Dance With Me SYfOMniZYzc I have a lot positive to say about it... The progress towards Hi-NRG Eurobeat sound in the songs by Mauro Farina and co. on That's Eurobeat in 1988/1989, was pretty slow and selective, while Derek Simon by Aleph is a sudden, brave detachment from Italo Disco,...

Re: Incoming CD from R.Gabrielli & R.Festari

Yes, since Roberto Gabrielli lives on an italian island and has to rent studio or ask others, this is it.

If Elena Ferretti still lives in Mantova, the best is to record the vocal in any working yet studio, close to all of them.

But I think that's all... Dave Rodgers there is just a coincidence (?)

Re: Eurobeat Labels: The Complete Catalogue

About Chris McRea, I'm pretty sure I hear Claudio Magnani there, though I can't say I'm 100% sure - I'll add a question mark for now, I guess. You were absent here when I wrote that Claudio Magnani isn't going to sing Eurobeat since many years, and well, he doesn't do this about 10 years (?). Yeste...

Re: Eurobeat Labels: The Complete Catalogue

Why not adding 21st Century Records and Saifam? Yeah, I was considering this a while ago - I initially didn't want to cherry-pick just Eurobeat songs from Saifam's mainly non-Eurobeat labels, but I ended up doing just that for "early" labels like Discomagic, etc. - so I guess it would mak...

Re: [CONFIRMED] SCP's Euro(beat)Kudos Vol.9 & 10 releases w/Unreleased & Euromach Extendeds

I don't think they worked together per se, just that Double was a Contini label, initially featuring Rodgers/A-Beat-C tracks, and later SCP stuff. A song can be registered to only one person, and produced by 10 others. You can register any composer/lyricist/producer/vocal/etc... SIAE is used solely...
