Re: 10 albums or compilations which had impact on you
2. That’s Eurobeat Vol. 14 (1989 CD compilation) Great one! 3. Alphatown “Japan” (1990 CD album) This one could have been on my list as well. Many great songs, even some songs which were never released in extended version. 8. “Big Brother” (1991 CD album) Great album as well. Besides that Knock On ...

Re: The Almost-Complete Euromach Extended - a.k.a. So Close and yet So Far!
I wrote to Giancarlo Pasquini on FB to see if he was able to sell his music... alas he doesn't own the rights to anything A-Beat C. I guess the rights must purely be with Avex at this point? I know they and TIME had a much tighter contract with Avex than SCP, HiNRG, Saifam etc. do/did. Shame if so ...

Re: Andrea Delfino (Voice of Judy Crystal)
Here begins already Eurobeat style, new Andrea in 1990 formed by Asia Records and FCF Records with actual Andrea D. vocal we are speaking of. Indeed she started in 1989 and used various popular aliases, Laurie, Mela, Jenny Kee, Superlove. In Time Records she was Virgin "Super Catching Desire&q...

Re: 10 albums or compilations which had impact on you
Post 10 albums or compilations which had impact on your taste and still are on your rotation playlist. Where's yours? :D This is a tough question, because there weren't many albums available when i started listening. Japanese albums were not easily available outside Japan, but I'll give it a try an...

Re: Worst Clichés in Eurobeat
What common tropes bother you the most in eurobeat, in spite of your love for the genre regardless? These would be mine... 1. Fire/Desire rhymes: In 1989, F.C.F. released “Bad Desire”. This song was a huge smash at the time, a major part of that being its climactic sing-a-long chorus. Mauro Farina ...

Re: Re:
There is a direct connection later. In studio projects Oscar and Antonella with the same faces in solo version sang nobody else, Mauro Farina and Clara Moroni. True. However, not always Clara Moroni. Antonella was Mauro Farina and Daniela Rando in Hot Box. Gipsy Woman, Movin' and Babe I Love You we...

Re: Today's Tune
It’s just a serious bummer Saifam never properly released the entirety of their mid/late ‘90s BFC era eurobeat like they did with the Asia catalogue because classics like this deserve to be remembered. I also think The Wonder Girls are great. I couldn't agree more and really wish Saifam would relea...

Re: Today's Tune
The progress towards Hi-NRG Eurobeat sound in the songs by Mauro Farina and co. on That's Eurobeat in 1988/1989, was pretty slow and selective, while Derek Simon by Aleph is a sudden, brave detachment from Italo Disco, a real breakthrough from which we can follow next growing progress. This track w...

Re: Why call "Extended" a song which isn't extended ?
Fun Facts: "Sweet Lover" by Robert Patton appeared on both SEB 34 (6:26) and SEB 35 (5:23)...... and both are "extended volumes"and both called "Extended Mix". Even the version on SEB 34 is shorter than the original extended, because some stuff was cut out from the ext...

Re: Today's Tune
Time Records did very well in summer and fall of 1993. Maltese - I Hate Monday is no exception.
