Great to see more rock/metal vocalists doing Eurobeat!
Is this The Snake?

And wow, Go 2 are really being promoted even heavier than before, aren't they? Considering that just about every song they've released has become an instant classic among eurobeat fans (and yes, that includes Music C'mon, which was on The Best Of Super Eurobeat 2006 and at least one more compilation I think), it's not a surprise. What goodness is going to be posted about them on their own website, though? :!:

A lot of SCP smooching going on. I'm pretty sure that even if Justin Timberlake teamed up with Go 2, the magoraty of you would like the song :P

MARK ASTLEY - SUPER RIDER
- this one really has me pumped!! Excellent vocal melody, and the synth hook has a unique structure and kick to it.

MIKE WEST - WILD NIGHT
- standard Time male fare, nothing really outstanding but nothing majorly offensive.

JEFF DRILLER - SPIN SPIN BABY
- pretty regular HRG track. Liked the synth hook.

KING & QUEEN - COME ON UP
- sickly sweet and a bit too girly. Interesting synth hook - I'm liking them this time around!

NUAGE - EVERYBODY SHAKE
- wow, a faster Nuage track! It's been a while since I've heard one of them! That synth hook reminds of something - I quite like this actually...

PAMSY - MY SWEET FOREVER
- SCP have been giving my darling Pamsy kind of meh songs recently, and this is no exception. The beat and bass seemed to dominate things and there isn't much of a tune.

ALEXIS - JUST A GAME 2008
- bad vocals. They sound so watery (and it's not just the sound quality of the sample). I didn't like this one that much.

JAY LEHR - IMAGINE
- epic idealistic and anthemic. I still can't take to Jay Lehr much, but this is okay.

NIKITA JR. - HAPPY SNAPPY VALENTINE
- filler HRG nonsense. To much emphasis on speed and not enough emphasis on melody.

ANNIE - NO BORDERS
- interesting. Annie sounds like she makes pop songs that have been converted to Eurobeat tracks. I'll reserve judgement on this one.

ESTER - NEVER GONNA GIVE UP
- this is pretty cool. Like a vocal melody progression and it leads into a awesome epic synth hook. Welcome back GGM!

ACE WARRIOR - WHITE LOVE
- odd title. Weak synth hook. Nothing really stands out.

ANNALISE - VALENTINO'S DAY
- sucky ballady melody and so-so production - sounds like it could be from a non-descript Super Euro Xmas album.

MONEY MAN - LOVE FOR MONEY 2008
- has the same energy and presence of Bad Bad Bad, but doesn't sound as refined or melodic.

DANIEL - FULL METAL CARS
- this is pretty good actually. I wanted to hate it because of the hype. The only dodgy part is that dated synth line.

CHERRY - YES I WILL
- awesome bass!! I love this so much - one of the best Cherry songs in terms of production, and the melody is capturing me more with every listen!
**EDIT** I know where the inspiration for the chorus comes from - "U + Ur Hand" by Pink!! - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9YAHodp2H2Y - listen from 00:37 and tell me you don't hear it!!!

MEGA NRG MAN - LET IT GO
- a Go2 cast-off. Not bad, but nothing really new or stunning either. Doesn't grab me.

THE SNAKE - SPEED OF LIGHT
- another Go2 cast-off - great! Slightly more energetic than Let It Go, but tries a bit too hard with the guitars I think.

So faves are by far:

SUPER RIDER
YES I WILL
NEVER GONNA GIVE UP

EDIT #2: This is the first album from the 180's that I'm semi-excited about. The 170's are proving to be a tough act to follow it would seem...

I listened to a bunch of Eurobeat and Italo and just couldn't find that hook , then I realized you are right. It's actually a pop hook. You know where else it comes up. In the Jonas Brothers- S.O.S. Right after they sing "It's like I'm walking on broken glass" Much better song than U+UR Hand :P Anyway. I agree and the Riff sounds very Saifam inspired too.

Well, CDJapan shipped this morning, so hopefully people should receive theirs soon! :)

I'm mixed about this one from previews so far, but overall the sound is much more consistent than 183 - nothing grabbed me the way The Lovebite did from that album, but very keen to hear how this one turns out in full!

And not forgetting the awesomeness of extended Easy Busy :D

Speed of Light / The Snake (Extended ver.)

I wonder if the length on mu-mo (9mins, 03 secs) is a typo..

hehe I figured they would be up by the time I wake up. :3
I bought three tracks, just a game, never gonna give up and everybody shake

I don't know if i like just a game or not...
Never Gonna Give Up is pretty epic
and Nuage's song is pretty good but the synths sound REALLY bad in mu-mo quality (and it probably doesn't help that im listening to it through bluetooth)

It just occurred to me that if the SEB price is going to be lower, perhaps this is because they're planning to drop the bonus disc? The only reason it went up in the first place was because of this. I wouldn't mind but I was kinda hoping for more Extended releases yet! ;) We'll have to see if the price drop also means a return to one disc or not...

EDIT: Yay my copy just arrived! :D I'll post some thoughts on it soon. Just listening to the bonus extendeds at the moment, hehe!

Ditto, my copy arrived on time for a change... Nuage ftw again!

EDIT:

This album is an all around perfect Delta-faire... Everything by them rocks.
