I guess we can add a new vocalist to the Hi-NRG Attack roster!

Laura Tartuferi

Since she definitely sang I Am Your Barracuda, I believe it's her voice as well in Shadow In Your Smile and SEF Deluxe (alongside Melody and Nick Festari). What do you think?

Eep! She... she doesn't hide it, does she? How did she get the right to the clip on her page?

Yeah, I was quite surprised, to be honest. Most Eurobeat vocalists (not counting SCP and Go Go's artists, of course) barely mention Eurobeat on their websites or Myspace profiles, let alone samples.

Regarding rights, I'm not a specialist, but I think it would be stupid if session singers/musicians weren't allowed to post samples of songs they contributed to, even if they don't hold the copyright or publishing rights. I could be wrong, though... :???:

Actually, I got in contact with a Eurobeat artists who had never got to hear the music he sung.

I will not mention the label here..
There was no way for him to buy the CDs he appear on, because they went ''Out of stock and Out of Print'' very shortly after its release date.

8 years after the release of the CD, I managed to get in contact with him, and I sent him the songs he had sung. Because I own the CDs he appear on, and he doesn't.

I fell sorry for the guy, because every artists should hear the music he or she sung by him/herself..

She's so adorable. If this PC had speakers, I'd like to hear what her normal voice sounds like.

To be honest, I actually kind of wonder if Laura Tartuferi is also the girl we all thought was "Alice", except not nearly as pitched up in I Am Your Barracude, Shadow In Your Smile, and SEF Deluxe compared to other tracks. I'm still a bit skeptical about the profile livemusicstudio has for "Miss Joke", as the rest of the female aliases that were listed (plus Garcon/Francis Cooper and Tam Arrow) had profiles that were completely false. The only times they've really been telling the truth was with Franz Tornado, Nikita Jr. (who released her first song at age 15, corresponding to Melody Castellari), and Chris (on an archieved livemusicstudio.com page over 10 years old, before Christiana Cucchi even became the model of Bazooka Girl).

Well, she looks nothing like the person portrayed as Alice/Miss Joke, of course that may have been just a model. And I have doubts about her being the voice of Alice either. If that's the case, we'll probably never know who Alice is.

No, I actually think they have really similar vocal tones; try speeding up one of Laura's songs (I tried I Am Your Barracude) or slowing down an "Alice" track like WWWiLoveU. What are your thoughts, cheeseman?

Awesome ! Thanks for the info !
I was wondering what unfamiliar voice that was signing on SEF Deluxe!
Though I am not sure of the resemblance with Miss Joke/Alice. :???:

:bump:, don't let this thread die yet! Cheesman, where are you?
BTW, since Tri-Star is Bazooka Girl(used to be billed as Chris, who was of course BG's model), Garcon(Festari), and Nikita Jr(Melody), that implies Laura is the current voice of Bazooka Girl as well. Wonder what Ike Ike 2009 will sound like.

I'm here, I'm here! ^_^"
I'm not sure what to think about her being Alice. I haven't tried to pitch up her songs or pitch down Alice's songs yet. I'll do so when I have some more time. However, Nick Festari himself told me two years ago that the girl in the pictures was the actual vocalist behind Alice. Maybe someone from the Hi-NRG Attack crew could have a say?

If so, it looks like "Alice" left around 2006, and she and Laura just happen to sound similar (there are noticeable differences particularly in Bang Bang Crashing of the Boom Boom, where the vocals ARE pitched up). Get A Boom is definitely Alice(there, she's somewhat less pitched than usual), that was confirmed by Festari, right?

I guess I was wrong about Alice leaving. Just heard the just released Bazooka Girl - Paraoke(HRG 658) and Cindy - Russian Gangsters(HRG 741)(both on Tornado & Friends: Trailblazers), these in fact sound like what I believe to be Alice's near-normal-pitch voice. Definitely different from Laura. And the Ciao Ciao tracks, do you think it sounds like there are two different vocalists dueting? The premise is that that alias supposed to be a duo, modeled by twin sisters.

I seldom immerse myself into these often fruitless debates over vocalists, but you're all being too quick to assume Tartuferi is the vocalist behind 'SEF Deluxe'. To me, it sounds more like Melody Castellari.

Besides, it makes more sense for Castellari to sing this track given her history in the genre. Does Tartuferi even know who Boss, Shu and Gun are? Hah. I suppose anything is possible with HRG in charge though.

Nevertheless, 'I Am Your Barracuda' and 'Shadow In Your Smile' were two of my favourite HRG female productions ever. Tartuferi should sing for HRG more often.
