FLEA Records @ Juno!

Post by cheeseman » 28 Aug 2009, 10:04

Good news for old-school Eurobeat fans!

It seems that Alabianca (the company behind FLEA Records) have decided to release a part of their catalogue on Juno Download. Oddly enough, the releases are split into three labels - Ala Bianca Holland (mostly Dave Rodgers/Brian Ice productions), Aisha (Dall'ora/Benati/Castagna productions), and Nuova Peecker (one Dave-produced track so far). These are quite rare tracks, as they were released on lesser-known compilations, such as Eurobeat Box and Alabianca Dance. Besides, there are also instrumentals, radio versions and bonus tracks.

So far, the following tracks have appeared:

Angie Starr - Just In Time
Bella & Blue - A Reason To Love
Carol Lee - For Love
Coo Coo - Boogie Woogie
Coo Coo - Easy Lover
Coo Coo - Energy
Colin Newman - Beautiful Girl
Colin Newman - Jail Bait (that one's got quite curious lyrics for a Eurobeat song :o)
Coy Mc Coy - I'm A Macho Man
Coy Mc Coy - Island
Doctor Boogie - Americana
Donna Luna - Come On Come On
Donna Luna - I'll Never Try To Change You
Flashman & The Spider Girls - Boom Boom Dancing
Karin Rex - Hold Me In Your Arms
King Kong & D'Jungle Girls - Bad Man
King Kong & D'Jungle Girls - Bingo
King Kong & D'Jungle Girls - Love Of The Angel
Lenny - Ever & Ever
Linda Martin - Flash Back
Lisa Lee - Don't Give Up
Maggie Sue - Love Me Do
Malcolm J. Hill - Fantasy
Michael Dream - Eyes In The Sky
Mr. Beat - Kiss Me Baby
Paula Marsh - Baila Macho
Robot Man - Big Samurai
Ross - I Promise My Heart
Thomas & Schubert - Lost In Paradise
Valentino - For Your Love

The release date is September 1 (September 8 for a few tracks).

Sadly not, that Flashman is Hi-Site and not FLEA.

(Wow these are pretty wicked releases...and here I thought FLEA was slow and boring :) ...boy was I wrong )

This is good news and probobly the only way to see some extended Dall Ora material online without AVEX having something to say about it.

I have almost all on vinyl. Can you believe after so many years Juno is looking like it might be the biggest distributer of Eurobeat to the world. Go Juno 8)

you new guys might also recognize some of Eurobeat's most famouse vocals. Gino Caria, Claudio Magnani, Clara Moroni, Fabrizio Rizzolo, Gianni Coraini, Dave Radgers and more... Alot of those tracks are Dall Ora /Castagna collabs.

True story.

I used to make mix tapes for the gym I worked at. I made one containing Collin Newman's "Jailbait" and it was quickly banned for inappropriate lyrics. Tsk Tsk..People just don'r get the Europeans :P

She's 17, I know she's just a little girl.
She wants to be a groooooooown up lady.

I love these vocals by the way, very good :)
