Enduring Eurobeat

Post by para_rigby » 16 May 2012, 02:35

I know we have had similar discussions like "what's your favorite eurobeat song?" or "best song of all time", but I was thinking about this certain topic tonight. Has there been a particular song or songs that made you think: "wow! this is really why I love this genre!"?

What song/s are they and why?

Mine:
Pilot Is The Hero/ Niko
Having coming into the eurobeat genre in the 150s, this was one of the songs I was exposed to. I don't normally care for male vocalists, but there is something really magical about this track from the strong yet airy synths to the back vocals. This was my first major exposure to the SEB series aside from random mp3s I found on the internet. Don't even get me started on how awesome the extended version is with the guitar solo.

"wow! this is really why I love this genre!"
Hearing songs like:
Money connection - Dave Hammond
Don't drop me - Ann Sinclair
Like a virgin - Virginelle
Babe follow me - Helena
The closer to your heart - David R Jones
You don't give me love - Vanessa
Roppongi nights - DR Money

ETC ETC

The mysterious intro's, the melodies, the BPM's... :D 8)

It's invariably in the early morning hours, crawling back from the club, when I put on the headphones and turn the volume up, that's when that feeling truly permeates the whole body and there could be no doubt this is how it has to be.
