Post by para_rigby » 21 Feb 2013, 02:19

Hey everyone. Wanted to let you know about my new blog interviewing/profiling singers, producers, and fans in the eurobeat community. Check it out @ http://euroviewer.blogspot.com/

Feel free to leave any comments.

I am working in between schoolwork to get more posts up so you'll have to do with my first profile of Pete Ellison of Disko Warp.

Enjoy!

Wow Bore, you really like the 180's that much now? From what I recall, you only thought it was an okay decade and that the 90's were the best or something.

How are you interviewing? By sending them a mail with questions, or do you have actual conversations, even if it's using Skype or even Facebook chat? :O

It's a great idea, by the way! :D

I send questions via email and Facebook. I do that because of the difficulty in having real face time with people especially with those not in America.

I have sent out many requests, but I only have about 10 sets of answers back. If anyone here is interested in a profile, pm me!

Maybe post one interview per week as opposed to one every few days, otherwise you'll quickly run out of people to interview.

Also, it would help if you gave more easily identifiable information on the community members you've interviewed, such as forum names and the like. For example, I've been around since 2004 and I have absolutely no idea who Michael Loren Marshall is. Is he from EBP, IDW, YouTube, or some other place? Also, producers and people from other forums may not know that Panu is "Bore" from EBP unless you explicitly state so.

Just some Journalism 101 for you. Better to err on the side of skepticism rather than assume your readers know everything.

Well, some of those names, Jay, aren't ones you may know because they are from the parapara community...and I did mention that Panu is the head of the forum. Lastly, I did mention I will just post once a week from now on. That happened because I got a lot of excitement from people about being interviewed but have yet to get back to me.
