non-stop
okay, so maybe I don't know a lot about the whole non-stop stuff and extended's, and I may be off-topic a bit, but I understand the whole thing about non-stops not being wanted right now. I mean, let's talk about when 197, 198, and 199 were non-stops and yes, that indeed pissed many fans off. Just wondering why couldn't AVEX done something like they did with the 90's or the 80's or 70's or 60's or even the albums 174-186. Released a double CD for them (yes, maybe many wouldn't have bought it for the mega-mix but for the newer extended's.) Or even with the mini non-stops from 191-196, but it was irritating to purchase these albums because i already heard majority of the songs on it, just not the new ones.
Wish they could released double cd with the last three.
Disc 1: KING OF SEB extended tracks and Disc 2: Non-Stop Megamix KING OF SEB
Disc 1: QUEEN OF SEB extended tracks & Disc 2: Non-Stop Megamix QUEEN OF SEB
Disc 1: COLLABORATION OF SEB extended tracks & Disc 2: Non-Stop Megamix COLLABORATION OF SEB
I mean talk about making poor decisions, and this could have made some big bucks. Especially for a upcoming Vol.200....oh god, how Vol.200 was a horrendous album. Only good thing about 200 was the booklet and the shiny cd jacket.
In your own opinion, would you have still bought it if the last three were released this way?

For the longest, I didn't realize that Eurobeat tracks were not sold in 320 format for DJ mixing. I thought Eurobeat was just like any other genre of dance music: CDs are released mixed with upcoming material, then the songs are individually released on imorecords, beatport, trackitdown, etc. for full length purchase. Personally, I will always prefer a DJ mixed album over a full length extended album just because that's what I am use to, and I love hearing two different drum beats battling with each other during the transition. But I've come to realize that the SEB albums are pretty much the only way (well, for the longest) to obtain the extended versions. So I can understand why yall like your extended albums. IMO, now that many artists are putting their tracks up on these download sites, it would make sense to start releasing DJ mixed albums, and then let people purchase the songs individually.

I remember when I ruffled a few feathers on this forum when I vehemently boycotted the SEB197 - 199 albums at the time of their release. I'm sure if you go back to the SEB197 album thread on this forum you can get a laugh or two from people's reactions to my over-the-top boycott, particularly Nine's. Aside from a few 'decade' non-stop albums, they're the only albums I'm missing in my physical collection from SEB140 - 210. And I still wouldn't pay more than $5 to add any of them to my collection.
In hindsight, Avex's decision to release three non-stop albums before SEB200 was extremely poor PR. Not only were quite a few fans annoyed with the fact that they couldn't hear the new songs on SEB197 - 199 in full (and to this day there's still no easy way for non-Japanese to get them, beyond pirating that is) but it also devalued the SEB200 non-stop album. By that point, I'm sure most fans (including the Japanese) were just sick of the non-stop influx.
The most irksome thing of all is that Avex didn't learn from that mistake in the SEB210s when they released four non-stops yet again, which then resulted in the infamously long hiatus. I'm sure that's part of the reason why a lot of us are a little cautious of non-stops now, even those who were once in favour of them.

I agree1 It took me eons to get all those songs in extended. Some directly from the producers themselves. The last one being the Alphatown track, but I finally got that too.
For all the support we given avex for the SEB series; I think it was a shitty thing to release 3 nonstops with all new songs, but it made me realize that where there is a will there is a way.
No more wishing for nonstops. Do those on your own on audacity program. It's fun and you'll probobly like your mixes better than AVEX.

Indeed. You may have just turned my views around I was at Best Buy the other day and saw some Pioneer digi-tables, and thought about picking them up to start doing my own mixes.drnrg wrote:JayI remember when I ruffled a few feathers on this forum when I vehemently boycotted the SEB197 - 199 albums at the time of their release. A new Dima song most likely to be featured on SEB 225 (if I am correct), is already up on Junodownload, and cannot be bought until September 18, but can be previewed. The release date for this song is the same day SEB 225 comes out, so most likely its a song from the album. Or just a coincidence...
DAVID DIMA - FIGHT AND GO (Sept, 18, 2013)

There also 2 other songs added that can be bought next month, but not sure if will be featured on SEB 225:
POWER DREAMS - HERE COMES THE RAIN (Sept, 4, 2013) @Junodownload
ALEKY - READY TO FLY (Sept. 12, 2013) @Junodownload

Fight And Go was released on Farm Records several years ago, chances are it probably won't be on 225.synthjunkie wrote:A new Dima song most likely to be featured on SEB 225 (if I am correct), is already up on Junodownload, and cannot be bought until September 18, but can be previewed.
