A lot of Rob Mayth's remixes tend to use 6/8 timing too. Love them! ;)

I charted DotA for stepmania and was aware of the swing (as I would have called it at the time) switch. Gabber and hardstyle love that 6/8 too.

I'm so used to working with a piano roll that I easily forget music theory things that make lots of sense when you're writing on a staff. When I want "swing" in FL studio I just change the grid so that the beats are divided into 3 notes instead of 4. I called it "triplets", but 6/8 would've been more accurate eh? :x

Don't talk like that; you'll scare Lebon14!

*sigh* The European Comission did order a study about music piracy. Do you know what the result was? Indeed, music piracy does absolutely nothing to physical music sale.

As for the rest, I'm respecting the rules of this board and not share anything here.

Back on topic, the only thing I really wish is longer SCP tracks. 4-min is soooo short when you love the song. For a mixer's point of view, the longer the song, the more material I get to mix the songs.

P.S I do not wish to get the argument further here. If you want to bring it further, do it on IDW.

The sample only includes people from the EU and not major music consumers, so it doesn't mean much because music is worldly.

Are we really gonna go down this path again? And over a joke, no less?

Maybe, however, it doesn't mean it's irrevelent. Europe is still pretty darn big.

It's best if we keep that either to one of the OTHER threads about this very subject we've had, or do as Lebon suggests and take it back to IDW. The discussion just won't be productive here, and I'd rather not see this thread devolve into the same shit again.

This isn't to take a side, so much as to suggest those who wish to do so, take it 'outside'.
A lot's changed in the decade and a half I've been here.

Wow, I can't believe what I frankly meant as little more than a joke truly erupted into a serious, lengthy conversation about the subject itself. :?

I'm attempting to get back into Eurobeat after a good 4 years of not listening a whole lot. To be honest, the only thing I would really love to see if more tracks get released in Extended format. I was really excited when all the SEB Presents collections were being released on iTunes with alot of rare gems. Would be cool to see this happen again with more frequent output on a site like Junodownload or something
