Japanese "Eurobeat"?

Post by GanGanGyaruO » 10 May 2007, 19:30

Firstly, I know that "real" eurobeat is only produced by certain labels, thus the placement of this topic in general music forum. But, mostly due to the popularity of eurobeat in Japan and its connection to certain urban cultures, the eurobeat sound has been imitated/copied by some artists, sometimes to such an extent that it almost sounds like real eurobeat.

Do any of you enjoy this music also?

Two of my recent personal favourites are these:

Gyaruru - Boom Boom Meccha Machho <3 by tsunku released on TNX label in May 2007

Soran Happies and Neko Hiroshi - Soran Para Para

(I saw there was a thread on HINOI team, but I feel that's kind of different, as I'm referring to more or less original material and both HINOI team and dream were more or less doing updated versions of eurobeat songs rather than mimicking the style.)
