Wikipedia Eurobeat Page

The article on Eurobeat seems a bit cluttered and it doesn't have all the labels in the euro business on there. Does anyone mind giving info out on producers and writers for each of the labels? Also, I don't know much about older labels (Flea, Beaver) and some smaller ones (Blast and "Plum(?)).

Thanks for your time.

Wikipedia in general is a bit cluttered whenever opinions are involved and not just cold facts - the miracle of anarchy~

Before throwing label information at this thread, it might be an idea to discuss what qualifies a label as a label, in the sense that labels can either be current labels, old labels, labels that still exist and so on.

I guess I seem to use label and studio interchangably. It seems that many others on the boards do too. I think it would be wise to use the term studio for each company.

Current Studios, I can think of:
A-BEAT C/ C.E.M. & R. Records (defunct)
EURGROOVE
SCP (was DOUBLE, SCP's original name?)
DELTA
HI-NRG ATTACK
GGM
BLAST
VIBRATION
BOOM BOOM BEAT/ASIA
TIME SPA*
DIMA
AKYR*
SINCLAIRE STYLE

*are these two studios still producing new material. Akyr did put out a new remix album on juno, but actual new songs to be released?

Former Studios:
TIME
FLEA
DISCOMAGIC
BEAVER
ALPHABET RECORDS
MADE UP RECORDS
Stinovo Records
BEAVER
Flying Records
Macho Records

I edited the page the other day to add some recent stand-out tracks and the labels that was not listed...
Dima
GGM
and
Eurogroove weren't listed I think... I think I'm missing one but oh well.

If there's anything wrong in what I wrote, just correct it.

Nope. Avex told DJ's in Japan to stop spinning new non-Avex Newfield–produced Akyr tracks. (He can publish other people's productions through Akyr, but that's about all Avex will allow.)
A lot's changed in the decade and a half I've been here.

Not this again.

The article's a constantly fluctuating thing that never ends up looking the way that any one person wants it to. I think we should all just take solace in the fact that it looks a hell of a lot better now than it used to, about three years ago.

Is Vibration etc. defunct? Did they get shut down by Avex too? Of course, Avex dumped them after the 150's.

I believe Luigi just wanted to retire from producing altogether.

Flea was a publishing label more than anything. Ala Bianca SRL Italy

Those of you who have heard some songs will recognize the different styles from Saifam to TIME to ABeatC and everything inbetween.

M.Farina/G.Crivellente/C.Accatino- mixed at Facory Sound studio and Live Music prods

Dave Rodgres and Diaferia prods were mixed at Domino Studios

Serigio Dall Ora productions were from Havanna studios. BTW, S. Castagna and A. Benati were were an awesome writing team at one point.

But, he did release the entire entire Vibration catlog on Juno just a few months ago.

Benati is still awesome. Tracks like Mike Snap - Jumpin' The Fire and Robbie Boy - Mr. Heartbreak are just epic awesomeness. Mike Snap could so be the new Fastway.

Just because the man wants to retire from production doesn't mean that he still doesn't want to make cash from his work.

In fact, releasing the entire catalog in one shot only lends even more credence to the idea of his retirement. When there's nothing more to release, release it all again.

Exactly, what better way to retire then to sell off you catalog and and get some extra pocket cash from the profits.

I know that Blast! started when Stefano Castagna and Al Benati were making music together and then decided to go seperate ways. Stefano made Ritmo E Blu studio , to make Eurobeat primarly (SCP) , and Al made Funklab to produce funk music , but Eurobeat aswell (Blast!).

Blast! is not very an active label from what i see...but i dont think it's a defunct label. I think it should have it's section on Wikipedia.

That whole section about labels needs a serious makeover. For starters, why are all the labels listed under the Eurobeat Formula section? And second, is it REALLY that necessary to include 'notable songs' from every label? That just clutters the page even futher.

I'd edit it myself but don't have the time atm.

Luigi told me himself that he wanted to retire, he won't produce music anymore. That's probably the reason why he sells the whole catalogue on Juno.

Please add the following labels too:
- Hi-Site [ Not acive ]
- Energy Revolution [ Not active ]
- Hi-BPM [ Not active ]
- Team Fantasy [ Active ]
- NoBrand [ Not active ]
- Digibeat [ Not active ]
- Akiba [ Very active ]

And last but not least, the almighty PLUM!
