The vocals sounds a bit washed out in this version - there needs to be more support in the chorus. The production is fairly generic and continues Jay's recent trend of treading the line between Eurobeat and mainstream pop. This could easily have been taken from any mid-80's pop album - to be honest, I might be replacing this version with the iTunes release when I make my iPod playlist... :|
The Fashion version is actually also on iTunes; I guess you just suspected that the SCP Eurobeat version was the only one that was posted, since it was the one you bought. Ironically, it went the other way for me - I thought the italo version was the only one that was available! Honestly, I've hardly listened to the track since buying it. It's pretty forgettable as far as Jay Lehr's tracks go, and I personally far prefer Little Little Star and Hi Love.

- Bon saves the day for Sinclaire again! After a few too many super-bland female tracks, he is back on form with this power duet. The synths are straight from the old school, and I'm really glad to hear them backed by such a masculine and powerful guitar line and beat. This will be getting heavy replays too
The powerful guitar solos are provided from italian metal band Bulldozer's lead guitarist "Ghiulz".

Yeah, I saw that after my post. I guess I just always gravitate towards the "SCP Eurobeat Versions" first, and in the case of this track, it was the right decision ;)

Wow, coming to think of it, I'm really not very excited about this album at all. I feel like it broad represents a general direction of SEB and its labels that I truly don't care for. Let's face the facts:

- Eurogrooves is basically dead. They aren't even on here, and they haven't released a single original track since Take This Way.
- Saifam is pretty much in the same boat as Eurogrooves - pretty much everything now is just covers. I loved the renditions of YAAOMM, In My Arms, and Memories of You, but at this point I've basically given up on the label in hopes of actually getting new stuff. The two covers here just sound embarrasing to me. It's such a shame, really, what Eurogrooves and Saifam have both degenerated to, since they'd be my favorite labels if they were so uninspired and burnt out of new ideas.
- Hi-NRG Attack's only truly active male vocalist is Roberto Festari, who generally sounds nice, but is becoming ridiculously overexposed. I think that the label has improved dramatically in terms of the originality of their faster songs (Cream Eurobeat was an especially good separate release, imo), and I would like to hear far more of that on the series. Jungle of Fire was a great inclusion on SEB 208. Still , while the italo-themed tracks are generally good, I fear that they could become old pretty quickly.
- Sunfire is okay for the most part, but they don't stand out much. Tell Me Why is really the only track from them so far that I've truly liked.
- SCP are still pretty good, but all of their material is being released outside of the series on iTunes, before the new album even comes out.
- Delta is generally still good, but Morris Capaldi is pretty much the only producer who sees much action anymore. What happened to the rest of their diverse arsenal of writers and producers?

Pretty much the only labels that I'd really want to keep following the series for at this point are Dima Music and the slow-paced SinclaireStyle. Back during the 170's decade, I was totally excited for every new SEB release. With this album, it just doesn't feel the same anymore. Unless it changes its direction quickly, I'm unfortunately probably going to start losing interest in the SEB series.

there are reasons nick is the only male vocalist appearing on seb lately, but i don't think it'll be the case for much longer. it really has to do with avex's taste. also, capaldi is the only one actually producing tracks at delta it seems, but rizzi is still writing for him. i think rizzi's style that we were familiar with gets lost with the synths that capaldi constantly uses.

Newfield retired because of Avex and Clara Moroni (a dispute happened). As for Clara, she quitted for her rock. Rizzi and Capaldi are the ones left at Delta.

I can agree that Eurogrooves is somewhat dead now. The only labels still showing force is SCP and Dima.

Wow! Really? I can't believe I never knew of this! That's quite a big loss for the eurobeat community! Newfield is one of the most significant writers and producers in eurobeat history, while Clara has been around since eurobeat started and has sung more tracks than almost any other female vocalist (with the possible exception of Melody Castellari).

Well, I guess all I can say is farewell, Clara. Your name will never be forgotten in the eurobeat world, and I will dearly miss you. 1986 - 2010 - that's quite an career well-spent.

I said Clara retired from Eurobeat - but keep in mind that while I know that I am 100% sure that Newfield did, I am not 100% sure for Clara, though.

Let's wait and see.

And this is how rumors get started. Either way, the day she does retire/other, I'll be a sad person.

You guys gotta remeber that most of the old school class is either in or nearing thier 50s, so classes are now open for the new talent. This is the perfect TIME for new Eurobeat labels and artists to emerge.

I don't know the lowdown on Eurogrooves, but it really makes no sense to start up a new label and then shutdown after such a short TIME. I think Dall Ora and Degani still have a few tricks up thier sleeve.

If not, then more power to the remaining competitors

Yeah, I gotta agree with a lot of the people. With the long break since 209, I was anxious to hear new material, but these previews and titles just seem wishywashy for my ears. Though I gotta say that there've been times in the past where the previews seemed awful but the final result turned out okay, so not completely hopeless just yet.

But still... _TOO_ Slow. And where are Kiki & Fancy.

ouch!

SEB does not convey the same energy and emotions that it used to... And they're getting serious about the low bpm agenda! I really dislike the direction that the series is taking, and it's sad to see the genre lose it's fiery candy coated glittery awesomeness.

all good things...
