I really enjoyed SEB 219...maybe because the tracks chosen were pretty great. What I'm HOPING for is the fact that it's been 2 years since a Best Of...that gives them plenty of time to gather new ideas and creativity for a decently transitioned DJ mixed album. (with lots of sound glitches of course ) I would like to see a Euromach-style mix for both discs. Pitch those tracks up!

Wouldn't the Best Of itself be 2 discs like in the past? I mean, I know there's not as many tracks as in past years, but maybe if they lowered the track selection to 20 tracks per disc, that would give plenty of playtime for the selected tracks, as well as lots of room for transitions. I've always just considered 213/216/219 as the "best of 2011" collection. But I can see how collectors would want that "Best Of..." title.

Well, if they do 2 discs for 221-225, that's 50 songs +2 remixes and there would be 76 songs total total from those 5 albums (221, 223-225 with 15 tracks; 16 from 222). So a little over 2 in 3 tracks released will be on a best of album if it has 2 CDs. Seems odd to have almost all tracks on a best of album. Will be interesting how they will do this.

Back in the day when they did Best of the Year tracks with radio edits there would be 9 albums of 18 tracks each (162 tracks to pick from). So 50 songs +2 remixes (from 2004-2010). So there was less than a 1 in 3 chance of a song being on the album.

The request countdown will be a nice opportunity for fans if AVEX opens the voting to EVERYBODY (even those...gasp...outside of JAPAN)!! Like I said, we will see how that goes down.
