Dave to leave Sunfire?!
Re: Dave to leave Sunfire?!
This is just really sudden, they just got married last year, have been working together since 2009 and now out of a sudden, this. What's Norma, Rich Hard, Powerful T and Isabelle (IF she's still with the label) gonna do? I'm also wondering if Sun Fire being Futura's property also played a part in this, maybe as Crockett said, Dave just likes his own space ala the A-Beat-C days. Still really curious as to what's driving this rift though.
You and me like a fire tonight

Like I said on Crockett's FB page, get Rodgers and Newfield together again. That would lead to some killer tracks.
Re: Dave to leave Sunfire?!
Very good example ! You can see where a significant part among later SEB labels musicians took the first steps. This is why it sounds a bit ridiculous that today Giancarlo Pasquini would take a step back, joining to any or "younger" team, instead of gather a new own squad.
In my opinion in these little labels there is no space for sharing many talents and ideas like in the big former record companies. Well, only if everybody uses the same logo, but works alone, maximum in duo.

He could also join up with Flashback Records. A lot of big names are there, producing 80's Style, Italo as we speak.
Re: Dave to leave Sunfire?!
I'd like that too. It did work in the past, so why not.
Even though I like the idea, I don't think that will ever happen. The end of Giancarlo at Time records and the start of Newfield being a producer there didn't go really smooth.para_rigby wrote:Like I said on Crockett's FB page, get Rodgers and Newfield together again. Re: Dave to leave Sunfire?!
Unofficially, his requirements and the point of view at Italo Disco are too high for Flashback Records activity, and till now he didn't agree to compose for Kimmo Sallo...
You know how it was 25-30 years ago... One "big" name, in that time Mauro Farina, hired others to differentiate the style. It looked good on the market for him, in turn for those who have written something for "big" name, it became an opportunity to show off their good sides co-working next to the already established artist.
The fact is Mauro Farina commissioned some songs for Aleph, signed under his label. Credits can do miracles properly set up...
Except "Fire On The Moon" it doesn't exist a track where Mauro Farina composed music for either with Giancarlo Pasquini. Lyrics and nothing more.
So they have always a chance.
Re: Dave to leave Sunfire?!
Damn! Sun Fire has been always my favorite and I always loved what they delivered in SEB. I was always waiting to hear their tracks first. So sad to hear about that Dave felt like that but he is the legend and amazing so I know that he knows what is the best then. Let him make a new label and bring that awesomeness and some old artists back like Ace Warrior, Matt Land, Brian Ice etc. Anyway best of luck to Dave and keep the fire around the beat!
Re: Dave to leave Sunfire?!
Perhaps an announcement of the new miscellaneous, either Eurobeat stuff.
At the studio tagged Brian Ice and Davide Di Marcantonio.
