Regarding Super Eurobeat 250
Re: Regarding Super Eurobeat 250
I posted a seperate topic about sales data of the series.
Looking back through charts, I found that there was a time when non-stop mixes sold more than regular releases...

Errrrrr........... no?alpines wrote: ↑16 Dec 2017, 10:02 The general trend with lesser sales for each and each album is also partially the fault of music streaming services.
People don't buy physical discs or even mp3s anymore because they can have it all with just around $10 a month.
(Sometimes even for free when it comes bundled with a new phone and a mobile plan)
Don't be naive. Sales dropped to these ridiculous amounts after all the f*ckery big A have been doing these last years. Eurobeat was always streamed. YouTube exists since late 2005, there's eurobeat songs there as old as 2007~8. And before that, many P2P services… Internet's been around since the 90's. They had over 25 years to find a way to get around it. In more recent news, instead of making Super Eurobeat more accessible, they prohibited shipping overseas, for example. They played themselves.

I didn't say it's solely to that fact, it surely played a role too but the biggest influence was probably Avex themselves.M2-EB wrote: ↑16 Dec 2017, 13:47Don't be naive. Bigger Japanese companies are reluctant to change their ways and Avex is not an exception. There's a Japanese agency that even refuses to make YouTube channels or stream its artists' songs through iTMS...

Like I said, they took the safest, more reasonable route. It doesn't mean it was the best option…
I don't think something good can come out of reluctance or fear even more if we're talking business here. "Go big or go home" isn't that the saying?

I still miss Eurobeat Flash, Euromach and Maharaja Night series tremendously, they ended too soon IMO and I listen whenever I can. SEB will be no different, the legacy is everlasting And you won't be alone in this.JeffreySoftbark wrote: ↑18 Dec 2017, 17:24Well I know it's not dead I'm just gonna miss Super Eurobeat is all

Re: Regarding Super Eurobeat 250
maybe they (producers)will all join up with FLASHBACK Records and start making Italo. Flashback Records is TIME Machine Records Parent label. You already have Newfield, Festari, Moroni, Fred Ventura. Other labels have Tom Hooker, Brian Ice. They relase music onec in a while, but I think it would be gtreat of the Eurobeat labels merged with the Italo ones and kept making the music for the fans. Fuck AVEX. THis also gives the labels more creativity freedom.
oh and on a final note. FUCK nonstops too.

2014-2016 Hi-NRG Attk all had the same vocal patterns and same B-Melos. 3B has had a drastic change from their Domino/Dream of You/Now & Forever days. Dima....well, I think his talents could serve him well in other genres. I wonder who decided that no more tracks should be 160 bpm +, Avex or the producers?xiao wrote: ↑19 Dec 2017, 01:47 ★ I highly miss Euromach & We Love TechPara ..
But somehow ~ I think that business isn't the reason SEB was cancelled. I just think that the people making it, from Avex to the Studios - Producers - & Artists, fell out of love for it. Like Newfield or Hyper Techno or the SEPH podcast .. people that love something, do it regardless of time & money, or they find a way to do it ~ when there's a will, there's a way.
I just think they found new tastes & grew up .. like Peter Pan ☆ and forgot about Neverland .. about SEB. ♪
I feel these attributes though greatly affected interest.
