Songs that should have different aliases

Post by #Infinity » 18 Jul 2018, 23:50

In what cases do you listen to a eurobeat song and feel that the artist name is particularly misleading?

These are the first that come to my mind, personally:

Daniel - My Gasoline (should be Luke)
Fastway - Ministry of Power + The Element of Fire (should be Dusty)
Fastway - Big Brother (should be Doctor Stranger)
Virginelle - Lucky Lucky (should be Annalise)
Irene - I'll Be the Star (should be Lucya)
Mega NRG Man - Found Love (should be Derrick Simons)

Messalina - Call Me should be by Christine (at least that's who I think the vocalist is). Might also bring extra love to a fantastically produced song by SCP.
David Road - Xpress Your Love should be by David Lord (because David Srb was this alias on EB Flash). Also might bring some love to another fantastically produced song by SCP.

Also, all of the modern Saifam songs sung by Fabio Serra using Mauro Farina's old aliases should have been Mister Max, or at least other alternate titles like Lupin, Spiderboy, or possibly Alvin, the latter of which was not always Mauro even though he did perform on "Domino". I'm guessing Avex probably pressured the Factory Team into using Farina's artist names simply because they were so popular, even though Mauro Farina retired from singing after "Last of Eurobeat", but those titles are so iconic to him in particular that I find it nearly insulting that the artist names were not simply retired with him. The only one I'm willing to let slide is "The Flame of Love" by Mister Tom, but that's only because that alias was only used once before, on a fairly obscure EuroPanic! track. Regardless, Alphatown, F.C.F., and even Ken Martin are not Fabio Serra to me and never will be.

Misleading? Seriously? Well, make a complaint at the agency for consumer protection then.

Machismo - Body to Body (should be either Sweet'n'Sour or Tutti Frutti since Machismo is a male alias and that track was sung by a female)
"Like a number one, Eurobeat is magic, love and fun" - Anika

F.C.F. - Black Mother
It's sung by Gino Caria, while all the others are Mauro Farina (Fabio Serra for Babe I Know)
I don't have ideas but it shouldn't be F.C.F.
