4.Alcazar - Don't You Want Me (Almighty Radio Edit)
ahh so you like Alcazar? The one I like is We Keep On Rockin. It has a smooth Giorgio Moroder -like bassline in the verses.

Oh my gosh, not a SINGLE track on your top 10 is or has anything to do with eurobeat. I honestly wonder what your list is even doing in a thread entitled 'Eurobeat Top 10'. No wonder you've hardly posted anything on the boards lately, it's quite obvious that your interest for the genre has really dwindled out.

That be true yes, haven't listened to much of eurobeat lately. Not that I don't like it, I do, but the active fanboy has died already. And new eurobeat generally has been crap over all compared to the older material, basically because of this very reason.

Oh well, maybe someday again, maybe. Or maybe not, been thinking of a hiatus for ages now.

Amen.

But there's still a glimpse of hope. Dave & Futura's Dance In My Town is pretty wicked. Anyhow it seems new albums are packed with leftovers or maybe i've grown out of eurobeat.. who knows.
Cybersex is on the line, I'm still running in the nineties

I think the newer style of these nonstops is way too noisy, erratic and fast for it's own good. I know I never liked the speeds on these nonstops, but upon hearing some of the newer material on SEB 199; I'm looking forward for that change soon. Ironically enough the label that was the most chaotic and erratic; HRG Attack, has toned it down a bit and they sound great.

To be precise regarding the earlier statement I have to emphasize that I still do like eurobeat and I am not intending to shut down the site anytime soon or anything. But I myself have a hard time bringing up updates when so many other things take my time more easily.

This being said, I still have to say that the newer SEBs generally were sorta bland, but did all consist great songs that I adore with all my heart. But there just has been a phase in my life where everything else has been more fitting to be listened to. I am looking forward to 200 either way, but maybe not with the same fire that I used to do some years back. Maybe I can stir up enough interest sooner or later to batch write 194-199 reviews. Maybe, never say never anyways... Elena Gobbi still gives me a happy whenever I hear her, so Dance and make me crazy~

The upper list with 0 eurobeat was a stir of the moment, but also a fact that I have listened to lots of random songs from other genres a lot lately. More than eurobeat, especially since I have forgotten to re-do a eurobeat usb-stick for my car.

I see where Bore is coming from, and I think most of us would agree that eurobeat is nothing like it used to be. Compare the latter half of the 190s with the 170s or 180s, for example; you can see that the genre has taken a sharp turn for the worst. And all these pointless non-stops have done nothing to reinvigorate my interest.

According to last.fm, the last time I listened to a eurobeat track was on June 13, which is surprising given that I used to listen to 2000 eurobeat songs on average each month. A shame, but I'm still remaining hopeful for the 200s and possible spin-off series.
