So I Heard U Like Mudkips

Just a demo version for now, but lyrics are done.

I just took the phrase, and tried to make a "serious" eurobeat song around it. Hope it worked.

Make a choice, baby, make a start
I-ai-ai, I know it is your choosing
Don't be so slow, TIME's running out
Go-go-go! The world is in danger

Mizugoro, go! In the ruby run!
Your em'rald unrivalled, lighting up the show
Mizugoro fun! You're the number one!
Sapphire! On fire! Baby, I know!

So, so I herd u liek teh Mudkips, baby
(Come on, come on, come take it now)
Go, change in time into the Marshstomp, ready
(Numa-numa-nu-Numacraw)
So, so I herd u liek teh Mudkips, baby
(Take a, take a, take, take a chance)
No, your battle makes my mind go crazy
(Gotta, gotta go catch 'em all)

Come on out, Mudkips, I choose you
I-ai-ai, I gotta fight the battle
Water attack, no holding back
No, no, no, I will be the master

This. Is. Awesome!

I can't wait to hear some Fastway-like vocals on this song. XD

Hm...it's mayhaps a bit early supereurobeat-ish in its style, in the sense that it's a bit...quiet, so to speak (like Queen of Times - Family), it needs a bit of a sparkle, could be some drums or some high-pitched synths.

Other than that, it's freaking awesome ofc! and with mudkips! Had to karaoke the song twice :3

EDIT: Maybe something like a....Koto f.x.? would be sweet <3 (or a kayageum)

I'd say...well ofc I'd say Judy Crystal always, but seeing how she's not available, I'd probably prefer someone like Lolita - she could really choke on her own voice with the high notes in this song (in a good way!)

Finally, some more comments after 10 days XDXD

But thanks!

I'm having a LOT of trouble with the vocals though. I want it to be better than my usual efforts.

Might be getting a female singer for it instead, not too sure. New one.

And what's "ofc" short for...?

of course ;)

Maybe someone like Kahori would be best for this song, since she also sang Y&Co.'s Speedy Cat, which kinda became a 4chan meme too. XD

Actually, I didn't see the link to the mp3 demo till this night, hence not replying sooner :?

My brain is playing some tricks on me, or well...it's expecting something that's not in the track really. It could just be my weird mind of course, but it really seems there's a few notes missing right before the "sabi".

Where it says
Sapphire! On fire! Baby, I know!
, it feels to me like it's missing two notes in the end, something like
Sapphire! On fire! Baby, you know it's true
(I'm sure you can guess the two missing notes continue the "rise"), and then probably followed by a longer pause between that line and the chorus. Just an idea, but it'd put my mind at ease if you'd at least try to figure out what I mean by this xD

Sounds promising, would definately love to hear the finished vocals; my karaoke is pretty bad...

Keep up the good work

;_; such pressure to do a good vocal job...

Amy couldn't do it (I'm giving her a different song that's more her style), so it's back to me giving it another go. ;_;

I'll make you proud!!!
