I actually think people in japan recognize the song for the title instead of the artist, and them avex put Title / Artist 'cause it's easy to know if the song is in the "anniversary" edition just looking for the title instead of the artist (since a lot of artist have common vocalist like Manuel/Neo or Virginelle/Lolita etc etc). =]

How about the D-Selection, is that all caps too? (Initial D)

No, move is always written in lower case.

And tracks after Forever Young in D Selection+, the artist names are written differently depending on the artist like...

dino starr
SylveR
maiko
Lia

etc.

I personally have no issue with how Avex chooses to present the artists/titles on the packaging, however I find it infuriating when people choose to copy that straight over to CDDB which is clearly Artist / Track, not the other way around
