OH SNAP

Let's start discussing this again! :P
Haha maybe that means no more shitty covers from Newfield and poorly sung tracks from Clara.

I'm personally not getting your dig against Newfield...care to expand the thought?

SEB 194: My King Is You (NOT a cover)
SEB 193: Doctor Love 2009 (Cover by Avex Request, Produced by Newfield)
SEB 192: Tonight Tonight (NOT a cover) (Not sung by Moroni)
SEB 191: My Gasoline (NOT a cover) (Not sung by Moroni)
and Got To Be Certain (Cover sung by Moroni, Produced by Newfield)
SEB 189: Lonely Night (NOT a cover) (Not sung by Moroni)
and Dance Dance (If I recall right, NOT a cover)
SEB 188: Spirit of the Night (NOT a cover) (Not sung by Moroni)
and Anyway, Anymore (NOT a cover)
SEB 187: Hello Hello! (NOT a cover)
and Can Can World (Not a Newfield-produced tune, not a Newfield cover)
SEB 186: Nightshade (Remix, NOT a cover)
and Big, Bad & Hot Love (NOT a cover)
and Rebel Yell (Cover, NOT produced by Newfield)
SEB 185: My Oh My (NOT a cover, Not produced by Newfield, damnably cute)
and Baby Fly (NOT a cover, not sung by Moroni, probably should have been a Eurobeat Masters exclusive, for my money— sorry Newfield.)
and Final Destination (NOT a cover, lead vox not by Moroni)
SEB 184: Super Rider (NOT a cover, not produced by Newfield, not sung by Moroni)
and Full Metal Cars (NOT a cover, not produced by Newfield, not sung by Moroni)
and Yes I Will (NOT a cover, not produced by Newfield, and great vocals)

That's all of TWO covers produced by Newfield in the last TEN Super Eurobeats. In comparison, Time/Eurogrooves and ABeatC have surpassed that number in the last four or five SEB's ALONE, AND ABeatC has another one on the way. SCP has had an equal amount of remakes on 193 ALONE.
And if you don't like Cherry's vocals, don't listen to the tracks.
You can dislike Delta all you want, but make sure you've done the math before generalizing. Delta's poured out a surprisingly LOW amount of remakes in the 190's, compared to the other labels.
And, didn't Sinclaire have a cover too (Too Young to Fall in Love)? Not a bad one, but that still puts him halfway to Newfield's quota thus far in the 190's—

—wait a second. If I'm not mistaken, the 196 tracklist shows the following:

KING & QUEEN / TORA
(No covers from Delta)

...pushing Bratt Sinclaire's cover total up to 2.
2 by Newfield, 2 by Sinclaire, in the 190s.
Interesting result, I'd say.

EDIT:

I don't know if he just really, really dislikes Newfield for taste reasons alone, has another reason (personal insult or something?), or just uses it to demonstrate his fondness for SinclaireStyle.

I laughed way harder than I should have.

Honestly, I don't care who produced a Clara track (although, more Arduini-produced tracks with her would be hot). Clara to me is like Domino is to Nine.

Agreed. Clara Moroni and Elena Feretti are for me Eurobeat divas.

But im sure there are some elements missing in those rumors , its hard to believe that this serie would crash this far at this milestone...

I just hope the label competition thing doesn't ruin Hi-NRG Attack and ABeatC... Im guessing already that avex will have different tastes than us :P

I don't think HRG Attack has anything to worry about. Besides it's AVEX who is tone deaf. Maybe if they let the labels submit thier own songs for a change. Trailblazers had some amazing material well suited for SEB that AVEX for some strange reason passed up.

I think it is good this label competition thing, because it pushes the labes to really try and outdo each other. This might also push them to call up some other Eurobeat vocalists from the past.

Eurogrooves and DELTA have nothing to worry about. Sergio Dall Ora has summond some of that magic since his exitement of starting a new label. Newfield has always been tops in producing Eurobeat and with Clara by his side they gots at least 2 guaranteed slots on SEB. Dima is happy with one entry and so far they have all been amazing. Saifam can get alittle repetitive , but again it's AvEX who drop the ball when choosing songs. ABEATC isn't going anywhere, but I hope Ginacarlo goes out there and scouts new talent?

I'm kinda worried about Sinclaire's label :? Too many covers all the sudden. My hopes for a new Boom Boom Fire are quickly dissolving. I say Booom Boom Fire , cuz I always like that one better than Nite Of Fire.

I might have my guard up for GoGo's and Girly SCP material, but I know that sells. Plus SCP belongs to AVEX, so theyu are not going anywhere.

I'm glad one of the Aces of Eurobeat has kinda squashed that nonstop nonesense for the TIME being. I wouldn't mind a secong nonstop mix cd. Maybe the mixes will actually showcase more than just the choruses?

This is a bit of a contentious move. On one hand, it'll increase the competition between labels to produce better songs, but on the other hand we may just end up with 13 GGM and SCP tracks since we all know just how much Avex is orgasming over them at the moment.

DJ Mike TJG wrote:Labels are only going to appear on 197 onwards if their songs are good enough - no automatic preferential treatment. In other words - if one label made three outstanding songs, those would get on at the expense of another label making poor songs. So Avex is pushing for more competition between labels!
Forgive me for the following, but I feel very strongly about this...

...this better DAMN WELL mean that Avex won't tell labels how to do their music. PLEASE let this mean that Avex is lifting the "requirements" that have been so long imposed on these labels!!

If Avex is going to stick to their Mega-Mix format ... I suggest they do like Super Anime Remix , meaning one CD for Mega-Mix and another CD for extended versions. Plus , they sell well. Though i doubt it would be the same for Super Eurobeat ?

Great title by the way 8)

I think newfield dispelled the rumour that it would be nonstop. Obviously we can't confirm anything until the official news is on Avex's page, but I think it's unlikely that they would go with a fully nonstop format.

I just saw that, upon pre-ordering this at CDJapan, that the CD has gone from 2190 yen to 2427 yen. More tracks?!? Something in extended? Something in megamix?

*sigh*
