Since a new century of Super Eurobeat is gonna start soon, I figured it would be cool to look back upon the last hundred releases in the series by commemorating your favorite decade from that century.
I picked the 150's as the best of the last ten decades of SEB. 151 and 156 aren't the best, but the variety, punch, catchiness, and high-quality from the rest of the year's releases more than make up for that. Easily one of the most underappreciated SEB decades, I can definitely say that the 150's produced the highest amount of memorable tracks overall and very few songs that didn't impress me.
I give an honorable mention to the 100's, which isn't quite as variable and doesn't stand out as much, but still retains a very consistent streak of strong releases and plenty of great songs that balance well between the classic edge of the pre-100 era of SEB and the modern spark of the newer era that was just beginning to emerge at the time.
Favorite Decade of SEB 100-199?
Re: Favorite Decade of SEB 100-199?
What?
So many votes, but no answers until today?
Whot the fock?
OK, then I'll be the first one here. And the others, who are still here, should do the same thing.
I voted for the 180's. There I have many favorites, so this voting was an easy one. Like I said in other threads, the decades from the 100's to the 150's were just awful. I have just only one favorite from this decade. But apart from that, everything else is not worth. But in the 180's I have many more (Mike West with "Wild Night" or Mega NRG Man with "Let it go" for example), but also in the 170's. If I had a second vote, then I would give it to the 170's.
