It is believed that this new style from Newfield's current profile country, Kazahstan, will conquer all of Asia. He got to sign the guy up..

I just wanted to follow up this thread and say that February 19th in Massachusetts, U.S. I'm doing a test and going to see if people at a rave dance to Eurobeat or stand around staring at me blankly. The test will be 1 hour long. I think there may be some confusion about what "doing rave" ...

To me it kind of depends on why you are trying to categorize it. I agree that in the US I would side with "underground club" because its popular club music in another part of the world that is not popular here. I also agree that a more accurate way would be to categorize it on how it fits ...

Um... that won't work for all songs, especially from 2nd boom and Norma Sheffield. Heh, I think your going to have to be more specific. Name a song you think ravers "can't" dance to, and I (a raver) will try to dance to it and see if I agree with you :P. I'm listening to Norma Sheffield: ...

A rave may not be "ideal" because after all... a Para Para event would be ideal, but your not going to get a para para event in the US so we are talking about what is realistic. I don't like the premise that the only valid way to dance to Eurobeat is Para Para. Ravers are creative dancers....

A little late response (haven't looked at the forum in a while ^^; ) but... I've found myself asking similar questions to this all my life, since I live in the US and I've liked so much music that isn't popular here. My feelings right now are that the only way to really hear Eurobeat in a club (envi...

This is a topic I've been thinking about for a long time. I live in NYC, US and I am a beginning DJ. Eurobeat is probably my favorite genre to play, (others are Happy Hardcore/Jcore and Italo Disco). My hope is that once I am skilled enough to spin live, I can play a set at an anime convention or ra...

Cool, listening now. I'm gonna have to go home and install Virtual DJ on my new laptop and get back to this now :P. Good stuff, life needs more Eurobeat DJs ^_^. Though I spin Hardcore also, but eurobeat is fun because its so underrepresented in the US.

I started learning DJing recently, and I'm trying to get into Eurobeat right now. I've got 2 Technics turntables, DJ mixer and that whole setup, plus getting either Virtual Vinyl (Virtual DJ + time coded records and hardware interface) or Serato. I've been playing around with the trial of Virtual DJ...

It's funny, I found this thread after I did this song at kareoke with some friends. My friends where all dying laughing when they saw that lyric and I'm going "I don't remember that!!!" Thanks for clearing it up. Though, i still don't hear it how the lyrics are written. Sounds like "k...

Thanks alot for all the info. This site and forum has really made me aware how much there is to eurobeat I wasn't aware of. My exposure has been through SEB, so a bit limited I see. I am expecting to get a virtual vinyl solution like Serato at some point, but I can see how the instant start of CDJ's...

DJing Eurobeat?

Hi, I'm new to the forum but I've been listening to SEB for the past 6 years or so. I just bought some turntables and a mixer and now I'm asking the next logical question. How does one go about DJing Eurobeat? Italo and eurobeat from the 80's seems simple enough. I can find the records and there are...
