Disco = 70's, many songs produced with real instruments Hi-NRG = late 70's, early to mid 80's, most songs produced with only synths OR synth + real instruments, galloping baselines Italo-disco = 1980-1988, completely synthesized Eurobeat = 1990-present Made some amendments to this list. Just don't change everything to Eurobeat blindly. Specifically , a song that is actually HI-NRG or Italo Disco to Eurobeat. That would make no sense at all. Remeber SEB vol. 1 was released years after some of those songs featured came out, so in reality some songs like Vanessa - Just a Game and Sop...

I'm just posting here to say how happy I am to see Witch getting posted about here. It's a stunning and exceptionally creative song. Very interesting rhythms accompanying the driving basic 4/4 beat. The bassline's timing and everything is so great and really very eccentric for an italo-disco song - ...

Both Time and A Beat C did this but you hear it more in A Beat C productions where some songs do not even sound very Eurobeat-ish ... Definitely. A-Beat C had been making straight-up hyper techno since around '92, so that period of '92-'94 where eurobeat was nearly synonymous with hyper-techno was ...

Because ALL labels worldwide were doing that. Not just eurobeat; it was a worldwide technology shift towards digital. And I'm not going to get into an "analog vs. digital" argument with you. CD-quality is the best you'll ever need, and if anyone wants to dispute that, I will unleash scien...

In addition, you can almost guarantee that these files would have been at least 16-Bit, 44100 Hz, LPCM, Stereo - full CD quality, in other words. An incredibly major technical step down from the analogue masters used previously. I hope their reasoning in doing that was that they needed to cut costs...
