The fact that Avex doesn't want to market it outside of Japan is totally understandable to a degree. I can somewhat understand how fans feel ripped off by Avex and treated as foreigners, but you have to get over it, because it's not just about the music, it's part of Japanese culture in many ways. ...

I fully agree with what extaticus and drnrg said as well. Extaticus is completely right about what is happening in the mainstream music industry right now. Like it or not, this is an avid fan site forum for eurobeat, so of course there are people like us who take our eurobeat seriously and don't wan...

I don't like the idea of eurobeat being spread out to the mainstream American music industry. I think a better idea would be for it to be spread out across Europe, since the Europeans were the ones who embraced Italo-disco, as well as other genres of EDM such as house and eurodance alot more than th...

Interesting link - shame they credited "Grand Prix" to Dave Rodgers and not Mega NRG Man :???: Also, I wasn't aware that Becca, Natascha Hagen, Consilio, Sarina Paris etc. were considered "Nu Italo" - I always referred to it as Italo Dance (since it was the more modern evolution...

Rhythm Of The Night was Corona, and has been covered by a couple of acts, but not Natalie/Cascada as far as I know. None of Cascada's tracks contain any "robotic rapping" (I'm assuming you're referring to the Real McCoy/La Bouche style 90's rapping? Maybe not, but that's what I'm assuming...

I am loving it. At first, the intro sounded a bit weird, but I think because it's not a good quailty sound source, but as soon as the riff comes in. I am just loving it, and the male vocals which are strong and hyper techno-ish make it even better. I am also liking the female vocals here (no super h...

After seeing how a new unreleased Annerley Gordon track written by G.Pasquini, L.Raimondi, A.Gordon is going to be released this June on Initial D 5th Stage D Selection Vol. 2, I decided to put this oldie from the same writers here as my song for today: Lolita - Wake Up (extended) A-beat-C Records 1...

ongen means sound source. I dunno which dictionary you are using, but Jim Breen's EDICT is the best. If you are on Firefox or Chrome, use rikaichan or rikaikun. You will slowly become a Japanese master. oh ok, thanks! i don't know why it doesn't show up on my handheld Casio electronic kanji diction...

Original Cover Discovery for The Best of Non-Stop SEB 2012

While going through some Italo-disco hunts, I happened to have stumbled upon a great find. I know how in the past Avex has been using other people's material for covers of SEB album. Here is one more to add to the list. Notice the one used on SEB, which was released in December of 2010 here: http://...

I couldn't translate the last part where it says 音源 since this word doesn't really exist as 2 kanji together in dictionaries, but if you separate the kanji, the 1st means "sound", and the 2nd means "origin". It also wouldn't mean "original sound" ...

My song for today is an oldie, more in the italo-disco era, but still awesome, and warrants some attention since it seemed to have inspired others. Sabrina Salerno - Boys boys boys http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C8B8sNXpcGg She is still as sexy today, or even more so than her 80's days. Her song see...

Looks like you really did your homework here. I care so little about this type of EDM that I wouldn't take the TIME to decipher who they sampled, unless it's so in the face obvious. That's pretty much one of my hobbies, to go through music databases and find samples on who copied who, since most el...
