Refer to the announcement thread in Eurobeat Talk regarding the lost posts and other issues.

Earlier this week Eurobeat-Prime was the victim of an apparently random defacement, I took the forums down, and after a somewhat careful cleaning and security check, I put them back up.

They were promptly defaced again, this time slightly worse - we lost some forum posts and had admin passwords ...

Some security measures have been implemented which will hopefully impede the defacements.

Update:
Until further notice, uploading new avatars is disabled - current avatars should be unaffected.

...due to a new, undocumented phpbb exploit that's being taken advantage of by bored children.

We're attempting to work with EP's host in order to get this resolved, while persuing other solutions.

The forums have been backed up so all posts/accounts are safe in the mean time. hopefully we'll be ...

We're aware of the album database problems and are working on a solution

At first glance it appears eurobeat-prime's hosting has changed software versions and some of the old code has become invalid. hopefully only minor fixes are required.

The database should again be in working order ...

They changed the permissions to allow burning? previousily they only allowed copying to "wma-drm compatible devices", a good step forward if so.

(Unless you're talking about converting them in some unconventional manner first...)

The whole "Heaven eurobeat meets healing style" album is pretty interesting, it almost sounds like the songs were entirely re-produced for the CD, so it may not count, but the versions of Summertime and Nothing's Going To Take My Love From You are worth a listen.

Live Music however has nowhere never the amount of money that Avex or saifam has, they are doing the best they can but obviously that is not good enough for you. I am annoyed that people just can be grateful that they are bothering to release stuff outside of Avex in the first place in stead of ...

Yep, saifam's stuff is fine from what I've heard, it's plain MP3 and a decent bitrate, and seems to be a decent encoder (doesn't sound worse than you'd expect it to).

They're "OK" in my book.

Calm down a bit on this please, I know I went overboard poo-pooing online music quality on more than one occasion, but it's a valid complaint.

I sympathize with the labels because at the moment providing high quality downloads is tough from a business/technology standpoint ...

Compression artifacts, while unnoticible 99% of the time for most people... and pretty silly to worry about with eurobeat, when I do notice it (and I do in HRG songs), it makes me feel like I'm buying junk ...
