Re: Random Eurobeat Thoughts

Who do we think will keep producing after SEB ends? I think Sinclaire, the Robertos, Dave, HO NRG Attack, and possibly maybe SCP. I think whoever wants to stick around needs to create their own compilation series to be released digitally. I do not believe Giancarlo and SCP will continue much long a...

On the bright side, this volume contains one of the most memorable tracks ever: Crystal - Walk A Mile In My Shoes . I don't think it was very popular around here, but I still love it. I remember this song playing in an underground market in Tokyo. I do not think the song is that intriguing personal...

Re: Sales data of Super Eurobeat series

Thanks for the research. It is appreciated. I noticed for most series that it starts out good but then dwindles down which explains why they ended at the times they did I suppose. I've heard that SEB 100 and SEB 110 were the most selling and still is true it seems. There is a lot more to the charts...

Re: Regarding Super Eurobeat 250

I predicted back in 2013 that the Super Eurobeat series would be ending soon since the releases were becoming repetitive and major names were beginning to leave, e.g. Ferretti, De Vincenzo. I also mentioned that Avex was not budging on its localised marketing and advertisement strategies despite maj...

My physical collection has expanded a lot since my first post here. I have every physical album from Super Eurobeat Vol. 141 until Super Eurobeat Vol. 205, except for: - Super Eurobeat Vol. 143 (Non-Stop) - Super Eurobeat Vol. 146 (Non-Stop) - Super Eurobeat Vol. 150 (Non-Stop) - Super Eurobeat Vol....

Basically, everyone from Eurogrooves/Time. Their departure was probably the main reason why I stopped listening to Eurobeat, plus Avex's apathy.

Bring them back!

The "plan," if you want to call it that, has a number of faults. First, my biggest concern is your claim that we need to get children interested in the genre. Did you forget that eurobeat lyrics are inundated with sexual innuendos and other unsavoury material, making it unsuitable for a yo...

Sadly, I only get excited by GGM, SCP, or Sinclaire's entries anymore since they are the only one, IMHO, that try to push eurobeat in some sort of direction. I can't think of one GGM/SCP entry that has truly sucked this year...(if "Lovely" was less vocally distorted--I would love it even ...

04. HURRY HURRY HURRY / MELA Sorry, but I'm not much of a fan of this. In contrast to Saifam's golden age of 1999 to 2006, this is airily-produced and just not that melodically fresh. In that case, I take it that you'll end up hating just about everything else released on the album too. Nothing abo...

We share quite a few hopes zoupzoup. I really want to hear new things such as swing time and time signatures other than 4/4. I would also like to see some songs that veer away from the strict "intro-riff-verse-verse-chorus-riff" structure every now and then. Good luck with that. The few e...

It's getting ridiculoud these days on certain tracks. The loudest SinclaireStyle track is "Passport To Dance". I have professional monitor headphones worth 160$ a pair (I think it's like 200$ MSRP too) and even with those, you can hear distortion in those explosion in the intro. I even em...

WNight Today's song: Magic Sunday / Dave & Futura Good tune. Takes some bit of getting used to, but good tune. This nearly made me spit my food out in laughter. To me, 'Magic Sunday' is a complete travesty. I don't mind aishu but this song is so boring. Even Dave/Nuage sound bored. I haven't ma...

I agree with your notion about the Karen track, though. I'm honestly not a big fan of hers, as she would always tend to go off-key, as if she either didn't have strong lungs or just sang way too hard for her own good. Maybe One Day is probably one of her better works from her catalogue, but it's pr...

'Maybe One Day' by Karen is head and shoulders above nearly every other song on the album, which is quite a feat considering its age. One of the best that Karen has ever sung. Delta was the other clear winner on the album with 'Fairy Tale' and 'Don't Forget.' Seems like they are finally getting thei...

@Tiger Well, the way they implemented it, they want you to choose ONE song from each album which is kind of hard for people that likes the whole album. Apparently you weren't around to vote for songs on the last download countdown album (SEB170). Try narrowing your choice down to four songs from th...
