Re: Eurobeat ripoffs/similarities to other songs
Just noticed that the riff for Tipsy & Tipsy - Sunny Days is copied from Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark - Enola Gay.

Re: YOU ARE MY LOVE/SKARLETT O’NEAL
Just bought this song last night. It’s quite a good piece and a welcome change of pace from Nick Festari’s usual output. I especially love that syncopated riff in the intro!

Re: What is your favourite song of Clara Moroni?
Clara's best song is probably the chillingly gothic "Scandal" by Candy Taylor, but in recent times I've also been really in love with "Telephone! Telephone!" by Denise. It has a sort of unique flair to its production, but a supremely catchy composition and a razor-sharp attention to sonic details ...

Not out yet, but previews confirm it is the "Lisa & Ace" version of Getting the Fever on "Initial Beat", and not the Lisa solo.
I actually prefer the Lisa Lion version of that song over the duet from SEB 172. Having Lisa own ...

San Diego!
I know Travis lives in the Bay Area, though seeing as he doesn't post here much anymore, I'm not sure how interested he would be if you reached out to him.

Re: Eurobeat ripoffs/similarities to other songs
Despite a totally different synth hook and slightly modified lyrics, this Phil Jones song is a complete and utter ripoff of the Hi-Site track from Euro Panic! 1, even though the writer credits are entirely distinct.
iirc Javy told me a long time ago that there is in fact a connection... which ...

Asia Records just acknowledged Andrea Delfino on their Facebook page and even linked to her profile on that site, in case you're curious what she looks like today.

Re: What happened to Christine?
On LinkedIn? I know she had a MySpace back in the day, but I never heard of her having anytging beyond that.
Sorry, I meant Facebook. Edited the previous post. Her profile picture was her in like a purple or blue dress kneeling over fixing her shoes. Don't ask me why I remember that lmao. But ...

Re: What happened to Christine?
In all fairness, I'm not 100% sure this is really the same Cristina we know and love
Doesn't look like her to me.
I found the resemblance specifically in the distinct trapezoid shape of her smile, her thin, downward-slanted eyes, wide chin, eyebrow style, and blondish hair. She may not bear ...

Re: SCP's Eurobeat Kudos Series
Aww, I was hoping for a EBK 25 announcement.
I suppose in the meantime, this will include Dusty's "Crazy for Love" and I'm guessing the duet version of "Gettin' the Fever" for those interested.

Re: Eurobeat Labels: The Complete Catalogue
I've been listening to all of the songs from Eurobeat Kudos constantly over the past several weeks, and after enough examination, I feel not only pretty positive Simona Allegro was indeed Lucya on "Beautiful", "Memories and Feelings", and "Easy Don't Go", but also everything else not given to Elena ...

Re: SCP's Eurobeat Kudos Series
I wonder if the singer of “I’ll Be the Star” is Lucya (8), known for “Follow the Rainbow”. Her voice is quite similar to Linda Ongarelli’s, it’s just that her inflection isn’t quite the same. Perhaps she’s Linda’s sister, Francesca? She's also a musician, based on her FB profile, although I can't ...

Re: SCP's Eurobeat Kudos Series
"I'll Be the Star" is interesting because I definitely don't think that's Linda Ongarelli performing lead. The accent simply doesn't match. Granted, it's a different woman performing "Music For My Dreams" and "Dancin' Baby" as well, but those were made back in the early 2000s, whereas "I'll Be the ...
