Re: Saifam (Asia) @ Juno Download!

Yes, they are the same. Brickwalling is the F word equivalent of "clipping", "loudness war" and "compression". It's when producers make the sound so loud that... 1. it distorts 2. there's no difference between quiet and loud Then, why is it that some clipped songs soun...

Re: Saifam (Asia) @ Juno Download!

But clipping and brickwalling aren't the same thing, aren't they? (I assumed clipping was the only artifact caused by "the loudness war") I have seen clipping in many modern SEB tracks but only Saifam's had brickwalling. In fact, it seems to me that it was from a certain point in time that...

Re: Avex Trax point of view in the early days

I do think the Japanese fan community is more important for Eurobeat than us. And I don't think it's just a matter of being a fan or not. In first place, I think most of us can't realize how big and relevant to the sales the Japanese fanbase is because we are not among them or for whatever reason. ...

Re: Avex Trax point of view in the early days

I'm just trying put myself as Avex Trax. A Western record company sees a demand in Japan and does everything possible to sell their music there, even offering it on the Internet. That's capitalism. A Japanese record company sees a demand in the West and refuses to release their music in the West, n...

Re: Why didn't anyone tell me Manuel Kawamori had an FB page?

Are you spelling his surname wrong in purpose?

EDIT: It's fixed now, but the title said "Manuel Kawamori"

He also has a web page: https://www.mk-voice.com/

He might be used to hearing "your old songs are ace, but the new ones suck". Since the new ones are totally (I think) produced by him, he must appreciate them the most.

Re: Avex Trax point of view in the early days

So which one would not be eurobeat: Gunfire or Adrenaline? If you could really pick one over the other, than somewhere in your logic there has to be a cut-off time of when eurobeat stopped being "eurobeat" and turned into "not eurobeat", which would put many tracks in that "...

Re: Super Eurobeat Vol. 243

This is what Manuel thinks about this issue: http://i.imgur.com/AQOWNF0.png I understand that many fans don't like Manuel's latest tracks as much as the old ones. But, in spite of the old ones being very good, they were not as much from his own as the new ones are. I feel like Manuel is one of the m...

Re: Avex Trax point of view in the early days

They were wrong. That's true, the audience must have changed as well and it turned out that following the newer, next generations of audience, keeping Eurobeat constantly in some kind of evolution, Eurobeat has right to survive... I might not have the proper knowledge to say this, but I don't think...

Re: Avex Trax point of view in the early days

Regardless of chart action in the United States or in Great Britain, the music choice is always "pleasant" and "fun"! We want to cherish such precious music with an honest sensibility, and Eurobeat plays an important role as being an example that fosters that honest sensibility....

Re: Super Eurobeat Vol. 243

The lyrics and vocals of Rocket to New Planet seem to be based on Denise - In My Dreams. In addition, the introduction reminds me a little of Cody - Back To You. Both of them are old school songs from Delta.

Re: Super Eurobeat Vol. 243

Previews from Ototoy! http://ototoy.jp/_/default/p/76272 They include the chorus, the riff and the beginning of a verse (and in Sinclaire's tracks there's more time for it, since either the chorus or the riff are shorter). I think more than one are going to be suprised at Elly's song. SEB 243 is 3rd...

My favourites from the preview are J-Stark's and Nuage's! Apart from these, I'm looking forward to enjoying the others in their full version Image.
