Frontal Impact - Daniel

Cross my heart
Hope not to die now
Fade to black
This time and this moment
I can't breath
Bracing myself now
Impending doom I'm about to die

Mostly because of how unusual it seems to have a eurobeat song about dying.

I think that some extendeds are too long and get really repetitive, but I much prefer them to nonstops. The stutter and grinding effects in a lot of nonstop songs give me a headache and I hate it when a slower song gets sped up and pitched higher at the same time. It is possible to speed up a song w...

All music is formulaic to some extent, unless you're listening to some avant-garde noise thing (and even then, there can be structure). Some formulas sound good to some people while sounding bad to others. I'm not fond of the pop-dance on the radio, but I don't see the point in claiming ______ genre...

I can't get enough Frontal Impact / Daniel

Perhaps it's the almost jarringly unusual subject matter for eurobeat that gets me.

I think what makes eurobeat hard is that it's actually quite musically complex compared to a lot of other genres of electronic music. There's lots of layers of melody and harmony, and the chord progressions actually change! (what a concept :P) If you don't already understand music theory, you may wa...

Yes, definitely needs more layers. I like her voice, personally, and I think that it would match the song better if it was faster as well, although I'm a sucker for high bpms so maybe it's just me. :P

Re: Would appriciate some VERY idiot-friendly advice with FL

You're definitely going to want to get more drum samples. The stock kicks/hats/etc that FL comes with are pretty terrible. :P I have some years of FL experience but I've never really made eurobeat, so I don't know how much I can help.

The way that's spelled worries me a bit, it makes me think it's going to be gangsta eurorap. :P

EDIT: Ok, so I heard the snippet of it on scp's facebook, and I'm not worried anymore. I still have no idea why they would spell it like that.

ParaCenter.net is in some trouble

As I'm sure any regulars to the site have noticed, it's been 404d for a few days now. Check the post on facebook here: http://www.facebook.com/ParaCen/posts/365872150098500 Jacobo doesn't have the time to fix it himself, apparently, so I thought I would try to spread the word more to see if anyone c...

Mindsweeper This is something tiny and dumb but I want to hear more kick drums that are similar to the one in Gunfire - Matt Land. A lot of eurobeat kicks are more "thump" while that kick is more "pop" and I absolutely love it. (it's probably from my love of psytrance, which ten...
