Re: The Best Of Super Eurobeat 2020

Arrived in the mail today, a very cool looking CD. I was a bit disappointed that it didn't come in the larger dual CD cases that they used in the past, but I suppose it's cheaper to manufacture this way especially given the way things are for SEB right now. But, I'm glad it got here and I managed to...

Re: If you could only listen to one era of SEB for the rest of your life, what would you choose?

I think that's a fair argument 😅 I will never ask this question again. 😁 Yeah I fully agree, listening to the evolution of eurobeat as it grew in the early years is a hard sacrifice, I don't have a lot of early CDs but I do have both 50 and 110 and I think they do a great job of letting you hear tha...

Re: Reccomended places to collect main SEB series?

But after that I'm probably going to have to start getting the best of CDs to sample things from those large gaps, it seems like the best strategy for me from there. Either that or just continue getting more anniversary CDs. I would not focus on the anniversary albums for the purpose you're intendi...

Re: Reccomended places to collect main SEB series?

Well I mostly started from playlists and non stop mixes that were on YT, so I came into the hobby with tracks I knew I wanted. For example, I waited for 174 to pop up since it had both Night Of Fire and Tsunami Comes on extended, without me having to get 148 for Tsunami Comes instead. Others have ca...

https://m.soundcloud.com/puma-van-rawker/harvest-brothers-rockin-the-anthem Harvest Brothers - Rockin' The Anthem A killer hard trance tune with a cracking kick, thumping bass and mesmerising melody. Released officially only on "The Melbourne Shuffler Documentary Soundtrack" this is a noto...

Re: Today's Non-Eurobeat Tune

Boccaccio Life - Angels (From Germany To UK Mix) hhUuqElluv4 One of my favourite tunes from the german trance genre. 1998 was a fantastic year for euro EMD and this one is no exception, very dark trance themes with angelic vocals and an amazingly euphoric melody. As a hard remix of the vocal version...

Re: Today's Tune

Kelly T. - Take Me to Heaven (SEB 174) XtKV4ozlHvE After Oliva left A-Beat, the sound of some tracks became partially similar to the 90s. ^This is my favourite track on disc 1, but I also really enjoyed Please Forgive Me / Cherry. Wonderful chorus and absolutely spine tingling melody. The piano and...

The track of yesterday.

Probably the best track on the CD imo. Quite a mellow album, I enjoyed it but I think this one is -b.

Blood On Fire / Go2 & Christine (The Best Of SEB Remixes Vol.3) - SEB183

Can't find this track on YT but I'm loving this just as much as the original, maybe more. It has some unnecessary sampling but it doesn't remove from the quality of the track.

Re: Sealed. With OBI. No OBI. What's your collecting preference?

That's a nice way of looking at it. I guess I'm kind of the opposite, whoever gets my things after I ever let them go, I enjoy the fact that someone is getting something used that I know have been well looked after. Kind of like my enjoyment of owning something new and keeping them nice is someone e...

Sealed. With OBI. No OBI. What's your collecting preference?

So this is something I think about a lot. It's not common in the west for CDs to come with any kind of OBI strip, so in regards to collecting it leaves a lot of questions when it comes to Japanese CDs, as well as other media. For me I'm probably a bit over the top, maybe too OCD, but I usually prefe...

Re: Your Eurobeat collection! (Originals Only ^^;;)

Got 190 on the way. Looking at the track list it looks like a pretty killer compilation. It will be nice to listen to samples from each prominent label and get a good sense of the style from them all. This is now almost doubled my collection I had a few months ago, I'm quite happy around the 170-190...
