One of the few things that Lebon and I agree with is the epicness of 195 :D In terms of individual songs or artists, check out anything by Manuel (especially Gas Gas Gas, Tiger and No Control), also "Stormy Weather" by Romeo and "Hey Guy (Spider Mix)" by Laurie are two of Asia's ...

Exactly - you could argue by looking at my list that I largely ignore everything that isn't SCP, but they feature so heavily simply because they are my favourite label. I would like to at least think that people will try to listen to all tracks and give them an equal chance however ;)

I've going to post my top 10 tracks at the moment. There have been quite a lot of poor, generic tracks this year, so it's hard for me to remember the worst ones at the moment... :P TOP 10 of the SEB 220's 1. ACE - BRAND NEW WORLD (SEB 229) 2. MANUEL - MANGA STYLE (SEB 227) 3. RICH HARD - WILD BOYS (...

Yes - I expect that it's probably Get Yaself The Real Thang. That, and new Pamsy has me uuber-excited for this!

Nice review WNight - glad someone else hears the wonders that I do in Power & Glory too - I agree that it's probably the best Delta track this decade

I hate that type of kick drum - it always has a bass tone to it that ends up taking over the tone of the melodies behind it I think. Personally, I'm happy with the way that Eurobeat has continually evolved. If I was critical, I'd say that Saifam/Asia had their peak around 2006/2007 - since then, the...

But if no one would have said that the Mela song is a rehash of this older song, I probably would never had noticed this. Even now, in my ears there are only two to three lines which let the two songs sound the same. Wow, really? The intro structure and verses in particular are pretty much identica...

Yeah, the points you bring up drnrg are the main reasons I always had such an issue with the different aliases for the same artist. It's mostly Hi-NRG Attack that wrecked the idea of different aliases releasing songs of distinct moods, since a lot of their songs are so generic that every alias often...

@ ditz. Hey man I got Bastille- Laughter Lines from that link you posted, but it's ok, I love the indie pop rock of nowadays. Most melodic/80s grooves I 've gotten from pop music in a long TIME. Oops, sorry about that - serves me right for trying to multi-task and post on two different forums at th...

This is a remix of "Danny Rock - Day By Day And Every Night" which I like better honestly. Good spot. Had never heard that song before. To be honest, I prefer the female vocals and the changes made to the chorus structure. Maybe it's because I heard the Mela song first, but yeah it sounds...

Nice review, the_ditz. It took a while until I could read it completely, I only had a little time since you posted it. But it was worth it. Aside of the review itself, I really enjoyed your writing stlye. Reviews like this make me impatient to write my own one. :D Thanks buddy - this makes me very ...

Good reviews Lebon and ditz, but the abundance of music jargons in ditz's review meant that I can't quite comprehend every single thing you're saying, but it's all good. Not surprising that you have SCP in your top 3 too. :D My own take on 229 in a while, it's a great album. 8) Sorry, I do get a li...

First time I've been inspired to write a review for an SEB album in a long time - plenty to discuss, let's dive in! 01 ACE - BRAND NEW WORLD (SCP) [03:56] We start this album with a real bang as one of the most recognisable and loved male vocalists shares with us a "Brand New World". To be...
