Welcome to all of the new people yet again :3 There'll be some major revamping done on the page in the future, though this thing that is being worked on currently is a major one and it won't be up very soon.

mushrooms rule!

Post by Vadim » 13 Dec 2005, 03:25

Are those dry shiitake mushrooms that Tony is holding up?
I love to put those in all sorts of soups I make(including a borsch-that is something that is a very dear to a diet of an ukrainian like myself).
Dried mushrooms from Asia are really neat for a lot of great dishes.

Dried mushrooms are number 1 for soup (aside from eggs). Those mushrooms aren't shiitake though. They take too long to soak IMHO. Itr are "Mouse Ear" or "Cloud" mushrooms. Those names are litteraly translated from the dutch language. I don't know the english word for 'em, but in Chinese they're called "Wan-Yi" mushrooms. 8)
The other package I'm holding contains the everlasting and holy Korean Kimchi Udon noodles :P
My personal invention: KANKOKU KARA NEZUMI KIMCHI TSUKIMI UDON!!! (Mouse Kimchi Raw-egg Udon from Korea)
