So you spent this year listening to your favorite songs, artists and labels. Now you can put them up for the world to vote on in "Best of Beats 2009".
You will nominate your favorites, everyone will vote for theirs, and the results will be announced on Club Fresh Italo on December 27th!

Everyone should join, because only then we'll be able to make this big and awesome, and give every eurobeat artist the credits they deserve.

Great idea, but I'd be thrown off a bit by the HRG Attack digital releases since a lot of them made thier first appearance this year , but are from previous years. How do I treat this?

I'm not sure how to treat those. I think this will be the best solution;

You can vote for compilation album releases if they were released this year, even when they contain no new songs.
You can not vote for songs that were released before 2009.

So, the album/compilation can be full of old songs, if it was released this year it's okay.

How's that? : )

sounds good to me

you know this is actually a crap year, since we were jacked of any new Eurobeat for about half a year.

HRG 732 Ciao Ciao bang bang Crashing Of The Boom Boom was one of the last songs catalog wise to appear on a SEB 208 compilation, so I guess everyt song after that one is fair paly? I would say "Bailaika Vodka and Rock n Roll" which appeared on SEB 189, but a few songs like Sex Around The Fire, Faster Blaster and Like A Rocket In The Sky appeared on this years' compilations so I'll use HRG 732 as a guide line.

Just a reminder; nominating is possible until Friday 2pm GMT (probably a bit later because I won't be home at that moment to shut it down, but who cares).

I know a lot of you already sent in your nominations, but don't forget to FORCE your friends to do it to. Ehehehe.

I gotta seriously wonder if many people voted. because I really didn't care for too many of the nominations this year. It's funny that there is a preferance for certain labels on this forum, cuz I go to other forums and it's a whole different story. Quite a few prefer HRG Attack and ABeaTC some even Eurogrooves, but anyway I voted for the best of in what I was offered, but in no way were those my favs of the year. In fact I only agreed with what came up being Dima releated. Hopefully he gets his just dues this year. :)

A lot of things were actually quite close. Sadly Hi-NRG Attack and Eurogrooves lost almost every time.

To be honest I'm not familiar with forums that are full of Hi-NRG Attack fans, but maybe next year you could tell those guys to join in too! It's just a big lesson we're learning since it's the first time, and we can use all the help and feedback we can get~!

I voted for Eurogrooves stuff in most categories as well, but I don't think it's a huge surprise that people here prefer SCP and Dima over the other labels.

I'm surprised Bright Time is among the best songs of the year. Sure, it's a nice song, but I don't remember too many people jumping through hoops over it when it was released.

I was just as surprised, Jay. And it's not just this forum, but various others too. (:

I gotta agree that I was likewised surprised, to see Jay instead of Ace -Wait For Me or some thing like that. I remeber Eternity getting a lot of praises, but where did Fever of Love jump out from?

I'm going to go ahead and say that Dave completely got the shaft. His Fire Dragon was not only one of the best of 2009 , but of recent years as well.

..and here is the biggest head scratcher for me. Best group. Scream Team. They had one song. Right here is were Eurogroove and Eurogroove Allstars really got the shaft.

Anyway I'm pretty sure I can guess the outcome of this list.LOL!

Scream Team might've only had one song, but it was also one of the best, if not the best one of the year.

Ace's Wait For You was released in 2008, not 2009.

The biggest disappointment for me here is the lack of Ileyna for best new artist, but that might have to do with the fact that her song was not released on a Super Eurobeat compilation.
