Japanese Girl Groups

Post by beat freak » 11 Jul 2006, 02:04

I know this is off topic, but these groups are a bit like eurobeat so I was wondering if someone could suggest some more groups or singers like the following.

Paradise Go!! Go!!
SweetS
Nana Katase
Ami Suzuki
Nami Tamaki.

I just discovered the first two and though I can barely find anything by Paradise, the group SweetS seems to have a lot of stuff. Does this genre of music have a special name like Eurobeat?

Thanks for any help.

Add dream onto that list as well.

It's J-Pop. Just girly-techno Japanese pop.

 For one I was scared when Clara sang "Hey man I'm a teen-age
I am" in Linda Ross - Love Me Stupid at age 31, which reminds me of
Andrea Zuckerman in Beverly Hills 90210. *lmao*

shanadoo is getting quiet popular in germany (the three girls from vivace plus one new member)... i was shocked when i saw them on TV the first time... i mean... parapara in german television?? it's just a cover of e-rotics king kong and it's eurodance but not too bad... anyway, they didn't have the courage yet to release an eurobeat track here in germany...

oh man... this is so... german...? i mean, all those random signs and so on... anyway, it's the first step to get parapara to europe so i just bought the single *lol

Thanks for the replies, but this off topic is getting off topic. I know about Dream, Max, D & D, Folder5, EE Jump and I should have added them before (D'Oh), but I was hoping for more current groups with that driving Euro sound.

Shanadoo are good but do they have more than that King Kong song? They have some great potential to be in the same vein as Chips, ATC, Banaroo, Alcazar, Steps, S Clubs etc.

Shanadoo has onlyt released one single and it came out this past June on the 16th, (I bought it. :-) ) The single includes a little parapara instructional video. The lyrics are the same ones used by Hinoi Team.
