I can only hope he will be a consistent artist like in the 120s

Probably not. He's probably gonna be like Matt Land is now; coming for a song here and there. Much the same way Neo took over for Gino Caria, Manuel took over for Matt Land and Digital Planet took over Powerful T., Powerful T. seems to be only there for the nostalgia and for an occasional song. Sad but music does change.

Only took him a few years, but he's settling into the role nicely. :P

if that is indeed the trax list, that may mean that AVEX is going back to it's original formatt of TIME, ABeatC and DELTA, which could also mean(Crosses fingers) that AVEX may come out with a new series to showcase Saifam, HRG and Dima's new music. Maybe even AKYR? A new EUrobeat Flash anyone. :D

Don't shatter my hopes just yet!

If the partial tracklisting is at all correct I dunno really if I'll be too interested about 171. I was trying to keep my fingers crossed that SEB could pick up the level a bit after the mediocore 160s.

I do have to say that the new Neo song sounds interesting if it keeps the same level as all of his previous tracks. Annalise is always welcome. Nuage might be good or then again the song might be same old same old as always. Groove Twins might be interesting if they carry on with same style as Viva The Night, but I'm highly skeptical about that.

A few other titles in the mix I might find interesting but not any titles I'd be really longing to hear. Plus where are the Go Go Girls *cry*

If my information is correct, Go Go Girls have taken some time off because of a group-rearrangement. Experts will probably know what I mean by that ;) and it's great news if true!

Tracklisting looks great, cannot wait to get a sample of the Annalise track!

And by the way, why mediocre? In my opinion, the 100s-150s were mediocre and finally since the 160s I'm becoming interested in Eurobeat again. It's all about taste, and some of you people here think taste is a fact which it's not. Go 160s, go 170s!

I really felt that 160s were the worst decade in ages. The albums were constantly subpar and the tracks just didn't have the same energy/spirit as eurobeat used to have in the best times some years back.
Can't say I would've enjoyed any album in the 160s as much as I enjoyed per say most of the albums during the 90s, 120s or 140s.

I had the same with the 130s and 140s, after which I quit listening to Eurobeat for a year or two. Songs like 'Love Can Be Your Game', 'Say Yeah', 'Love Collision', 'Take Another Chance', 'Oh Baby Call Me Now', 'Falling Down', 'Viva The Night', 'I Was Born For Burning', 'Get Up And Move It', 'King Of Chinatown', 'Sun In The Rain', 'Music Come On!', 'Listen To My Heart', 'Rain' and 'Big Heart' were really special for me and convinced me to start buying again.

And 170s will be great for one simple reason: A.Gordon 'Stay Tonight'

Since you're away
There is nothing to hold me
Love for life is gone
Beg you to stay
I need someone to show me
My love is the only one

I wanna stay tonight
I know that you love me like before
Tell me you're gonna trust me now
You'll be mine, just a while

I need you babe, tonight
I know that you love me like before
Tell me you're gonna trust me now
You'll be mine, just a while

The 160's were all about returning to the old style while mixing in new elements and I loved it! Though I dunno if it'll continue since there won't be as many Newfield productions during the 170's. I can't wait to hear the new Neo track ^_^ He's just constantly gotten better and the style of his songs and voice are very reminicent of Gino's style which I love.

I must agree, SEB160 wasn't 'too' great, but the decade did bring out some favorite, enjoyable and memorable songs for me. Though, 150's and 160's haven't beenable to beat out the 140s for me, and I don't think the 170's will either. XD

Perhaps the reason why you believe the old albums were better than the newer ones is because you're growing tired of it nowadays; back then, it felt new and fresh. You're probably not going to find the 170s too thrilling either if this is so.

I'm not too particularly thrilled at the spectulated tracklisting, maybe just the Oda and Neo songs. Also, if Like A Speedy Car is expected to be on 172 then I can't see why Saifam wouldn't be here. I doubt it'll be just 14 tracks.
