This week's Top 10 is a very special Top 10, however, only a temporary one and I will be back to my usual stuff again after this week.
1. Lolita - Jolie
One of the best Lolita songs in my opinion, I was so on this song for this week it grew so much on me I could practically listen to it the entire day (Which I did), A song really worth commenting on and once again, an older lost gem, not really a groundbreaking Top 10 like Fevernova and VIP is JP but for a special week and songs to keep myself upbeat, this is the way to go. Round of applause for Lolita.
2. Lolita - Hurry Up Hurry Up
How this song grew on me suddenly, I don't know, Something cool about it made me like this song even more after listening to it on a day in a leisure car ride and this song caught my attention even more the moment it played on my Mp3. Yeah, Truely, Boom Boom Boom, Shakalaka Boom. Yet another round of applause for Lolita.
3. Go Go Girls - My Sweet Banana
Something must be wrong with me, For some reason, the bananarama in this song keeps on looping in my head for all the strange reasons and when it is by Go Go Girls, it just feels in place, wacky lyrics packed with an action faire tune makes this feel right at home. I always thought that GGG's earlier works were better than their later hits (Love in the limo Vs People Of The World?), but I still love them for they are GGG!
4. Lolita - Kiss 2 Kiss
More Lolita, Yeah, I did say this week is a pretty special week, so there we go, yet another Lolita song that caught my attention the first time and after it pop out on my mp3 at an unexpected moment, it just warrants my attention even more, The melody is good, add chirpy and effective vocals by Lolita, how could we go wrong ?...
5. Mr Groove - White Light
See Kiss 2 Kiss review.
6. Domino - The Game Of My Name
If you ask me, I would definitely place this masterpiece next to that of Gotcha! and Stop, the melody in this song is plain genius and as usual, we are talking about Domino here and we all know Domino doesn't release bad songs, but this (and the other two) are really on a whole new level. I like this song, like seriously, The only reason it is at 6 is because I haven't got enough room to listen to this full force. Good vocalwork and plain genius melody = Pure pwnage. Nothing more to comment.
7. Dave Rodgers & Jennifer Batten - Music For The People
Another song that is overshadowed by stronger songs by Dave himself, but alas, it got the attention it has been seeking for so long by me. Dave, like Domino, doesn't release bad songs, and this is no exception, Dave's vocals sound aggressive yet nice to listen to, I seriously want this song to be modernized along with Kingdom Of Rock! (Sun city 2008, so why not MFTP 20xx?). Also credits to Jennifer Batten for the good instrumental work. Also another song that pwns, enough said.
8. Lolita - Stop The Time Tonight
Go Go Music Yeah, upbeat, good to listen to and also wonderful vocalwork by Lolita make this song go into Top 10 but can this last long ? We'll see.
9. Lolita - Easy
This song in my opinion, is not as chirpy and happy as most of the Lolita songs has and probably won't last long against stronger opponents (See : Jolie) but yet again, something about it made me notice it right away and I had to listen to it again and again to confirm that my feelings are right, in the end, another song I looped on my mp3 along with the others above, just not as much.
10. Domino - Tomodachi Big Friend
I am going crazy, I am seriously not in the right state of mind, I am not the biggest fan of happy tunes like this but why it caught my attention ... I don't know, My opinion on this song is, it has an effective happy happy melody that is bound to hit many girly girly lovers or people who are real lovers of happy eurobeat or perhaps it already has.
