Misheard lyrics

Post by SuperEuroJimmy » 11 Apr 2007, 23:02

We all know we can mail our misheard lyrics in, but sometimes searching the mail address, writing a mail and clicking 'send!' is too much work. Logging in to our favorite website isn't, so post all your misheard lyrics here.

I'll start;

Dave - Pride
Bride! Flowers and fashion!
[Pride! Power and fashion!]

I hear alot of the word "erection" when the artists are saying "direction"
I especially hear that in Jam Jam Jam.

Maybe, I'm just a dirty minded American.

just like an Arab through the night on fire... :???:

(just like an arrow through the night of fire)
- De apibus semper dubitandum est
(You never know about bees)

Every day I'm the guy next door

Bunny for coal let me find!
But if you call I'll be fine
- Manuel "No Control"

My favorite is allways "Killer with an Erection" from Dave Simon.

That makes me more dirty minded :D

Misheard lyrics

Post by Rain197 » 16 Mar 2018, 23:29

Everyone interprets the lyrics in his own way, and when you're not an english native speaker it's even more hilarious :D
Original misheard lyrics

I'll start with D.Essex - Dancing Crazy

Original lyrics : Dancing crazy Moving is the law
What I hear : Dancing crazy Move to Venezuela

This is the only one that I remember for now, but I have much more of these, unfortunately I just have never written them down.

King Kobra - Sledge Hammer
Orginal lyrics: My funky babe babe
What I hear: I fuck you babe babe

I was quite baffled with this when I first heard this, because to my knowledge eurobeat songs never use the f-word. :x

Bombers - Disco Energy
Original lyrics: Disco disco energy
What I hear: Disco disco allergy

On a side note: do they even update the main page's misheard lyrics -section anymore? Some of those lyrics are quite hilarious

Dave Rodgers - Lucky Man

What I hear: What's in the sky? It's you
(woah woah woah woah)

Melissa White - L.O.V.E. You & Me

Original Lyrics: "...and find the letters in my heart"
What I Hear: "...and find the lettuce in my heart"

I adore this sweet song to bits, but that one word sticks out like a sore thumb and I can't unhear it!

Irene - Food Fighter

Original Lyrics: “You think I’m a little girlie / All the men baby I can beat / It’s like a delicious treat”
What I Hear: “You think I’m a little girlie / All the man baby I can be / It’s like a delicious treat”

I suppose my mind felt the misheard version followed the previous line more intuitively because it’s a contrast to the “little girlie” misperception within the context of a song about fighting.
