Early videos of Dave Rodgers!!!

Post by cheeseman » 09 Dec 2007, 10:19

I was literally shocked when I first saw this.
I guess these are the earliest videos of Dave singing...
Back in the times when Aleph was still an actual band rather than just an alias. :P

Aleph - In Your Eyes (Aleph's first-ever single)
Aleph - All Is Nothing (Never released!!!)

Also, here is (I guess) his first performance on Italian TV:

Aleph - Fly To Me (Check out his hairdo xD)

Thanks a lot to Jion for finding this!

Glad that you like it :)
Anyone here like Genesis (especially their prog rock era)?
All Is Nothing sounds a lot like early Genesis tracks 8)

DarkSky: I haven't had much free time recently, because of mid-term exams, projects and other stuff...
I'll definitely have more free time during Christmas break though.

Exactly!
Try to imagine "All Is Nothing" sung by Phil Collins on a Genesis concert in the early 80s 8)
Does anybody know if there's a better-quality recording of that song available anywhere?

Wow, just... wow. I can't even recognize him. It seems age (and probably smoking <_<) has really added a lot of character to Giancarlo's mug over the years.

I think he looks better these days, personally. His voice has definately changed since those 25 years ago, too.

Genesis and/or Phil Collins are amazing! I've enjoyed the music for years now. And I agree, some parts sound like Genesis.

These videos are great. He does look a lot different form now, but the voice is unmistakably his. It also gives merrit to his ability as a great song writer.

Compare that version of "Fly To Me" with this version taken in May 2007 here in Mexico. Dig those shades 8)
