Renoir - Because I Need U > One of those unique songs...

Post by Lebon14 » 29 Dec 2007, 01:07

Everyone thinks that this song is out of the style. I agree. However, I do not really agree to say that it's a bad song. It's just... not really its place on an Eurobeat compilation. It would better fit a techno compilation from Daniel Desnoyers (Quebecese DJ), DJ Tiesto's DJ mixes compilation or some other dance compilation.

The only thing why I think that in the song was classed Eurobeat by Avex is the riff style. And, still, he doesn't fit at all.

Here is the structure. It's obviously not the standard Eurobeat structure.
-----------------------
intro
breakdown
trance style of progression to riff
riff
couplet (style1)
bridge
chorus
trance style breakdown
riff
couplet (style2)
breakdown chorus
trance-style chorus
riff
trance style fade out
-------------------------
The intro is about 1min long and the riffs are minority in the song. Habitually, in the standard 4min EB song, it's about 40-50$ of it.

Anyway, any comments on this particular song yet.

Don't fricking call it techno! >: (

That's all I have to say.

If it's eurobeat or not, I don't know. Haven't heard the entire song yet. But calling it techno is really JUST WRONG. >: (

Check Ishkur's Guide To Electronic Music. :\

I have to agree with that. The song is really more like trance, and probably european/progressive trance too.

Definitely a trance song. I'm going to pretty much assume it got on an SEB because it's from Delta. They did the same thing with the first three Queen 26 songs (Inside Your Heart and such)...I don't mind the song so much. Reminds me of material from the Super Best Trance series. The song reminds me alot of "Everytime We Touch" by Cascada in the B-Melo. 7/10 for me.

I was thinking the same thing about it being similar to Cascada, actually. I would give it an 8/10, though (and possibly an extra 1/2 point if it was actually on a appropriate series (like "Super Best Trance")).

Yea, it sounds more to be fit on a SBT cd. It's not similar to Cascada. Cascada makes Hands Up trance, and has a lot better noticable bassline in it. (;

I don't know how to call this kind of trance, but it isn't that bad. :3!

I wouldn't call the song Unique at all, it's just on the wrong type of compilation. That sort of Vocal Poptrance has been around for years.

I agree with everyone who said it belongs on SBT, that's the first thing I said when I heard this song :)

I think it's a good song and should be on SBT, but SEB? No.

I love Trance but this song ruffles my feathers the wrong way, if only because it sounds too much like Cascada

Too bad, one less eurobeat track on this SEB. Doesn't add to the product value imo. I hope it doesnt become a trend.

I think it may already be a trend considering this has happened before with the first few Queen 26 tracks
