Ever heard of being positive? The thought of Suggestion can be very powerful, so please no more of that crap

I'm thinking it goes on for years and years to come. Or at least untill I win the ,lottery. I will buy out Avex and have the lables produce Eurobeat just for the fact of having some kinda decent Dance music. Oh yeah, and I would bring back vinyl .8)

.but in all reality, I think the lables are stronger than ever and putting in that extra effort to compete with one another. To end the series would be like pulling the carpet from under thier feet. My biggest concern would be turing the series into nonstop mix cds and waiting for years untill they appear in extended on Juno for purchase. That would suck :(

ok fistly yes i have a little issue with norma's songs being a little bland or plain, but do like her older stuff, hence me saying burn every pre recorded song of hers...maybe get her to revamp her self....or something

i would also like to clear up that i would love SEB to last for many more albums. But it is kind weird sounding when a mate askes me "what cd are you listening to?" and my response..."seb vol. 189...."....but i do LOVE SEB

i hope the 190 release has a beter DVD than 180.....

i want a new Go2 song, or christine maybe, lolita song would be great, or domino, god i miss the old days of eurbeat sometimes...or maybe i am getting old!!
:x

I'm being realistic, rather than pessimistic. Of course I don't want SEB to end, but with the constant change in directors and the uncertain state of many of the labels, I'm unsure where the series is headed exactly. Knowing Avex, if they planned to cut the series, they'd tell us at the last minute.

Don't act as if it's the end of the world. Eurobeat won't die if SEB closes its doors.

He has a very good point. Avex loves to pull these things out from under us without warning. I'm sure it won't be forecast to us when (or if) SEB is going to come to a close.

Though, it's important to note that as SEB goes through recent changes (most for the bad) and as Avex alienates more and more of its audience and the producing studios, that more and more labels will start selling songs to other companies for other compilations. It's already started to happen, it seems.

Oh, what's next, the next De Jorio song being D.Essex and not Niko? OH NO, THAT'S TOO CONFUSING!

What's so bad about just 2 (or 3) aliases? Compare that to Hi-NRG Attack or Saifam, who use at least like 15 aliases for all of their female vocalists, and even then they aren't consistent. And as for the record, Sandy isn't Roberta (and we can't even assume that Ducky Chix is her, either).
It's not a bad thing for the old way of marketing Eurobeat. Unfortunately, to conform to the new method of selling music and have any long-lasting sustainability, the many-name trend MUST be reduced if not demolished entirely. Ever notice that Dave Rodgers hasn't gone by "Big Brother" lately? Fastway only has two aliases to himself; Ace, only one. (In fact, SCP artists tend to have roughly one or two names to themselves at one time-- this could lend to their particular successes recently, no?)

I say, without being neither optimistic or pessimistic, just wait and see. ;)

I doubt it. Euroberat was a lot more exciting and mysterious when the voaclists had many aliases. TIME's golden era was when both Clara and Gino had more than 5 aliases to thier name. Furthermore it makes it seem that thier are many poeple involved in the label as opposed to 6-8 which is usually the case.

I don't know about you guys, but I would get bored of Eurobeat, just seeing the same artist name appear cd after cd. That would certainly cause it's demise. It's nice when labels give certain artists a break and then let them reappear 4-5 cd later with a new aliases. Adds excite, menet to the pot.

For once I actually agree with DJ NRG, whenever a vocalist has a different alias you can be assure it generally a style associated with that vocalist. This way you can know which artists too avoid if you don't like a certain style. Like with Delta, I like Luca Torchiani and he is Paul Harris with Newfield/Capaldi but Mark Astley with Cipro and Sandrini and given my dislike for Newfield and Capaldi (only as a lately) I know to just ignore the Newfield Capaldi tracks and go straight for the Cirpo-Sandrini tracks.

Ah, I may have misworded myself. I don't think the convention itself is BAD-- I do enjoy some of the mystery of finding out who a certain vocalist is (who is Kimmy~?), that's not my issue. It's just a VERY hard concept to market. How many genres that have had more than a month in the public spotlight have this convention? How many have lasted as long as Eurobeat?

--wait. Did I just disprove myself? 0_o

DISREGARD THAT, I USED TO THINK ":HYPER EUROBEAT" BY NAOKI WAS LEGIT
(Yes, a remake of a worse meme =P )

I just got some info on the 19x series:

From Vol.19x, every Super Eurobeat volume will have a theme.

Vol.191 is going to be driving eurobeat. Release date is 1st October.

(Personal speculation: SCP will present at least one Fastway or/and Go2 track ;) )

Huh? So Hurry Up / Hurry Up by Lolita is about driving? Surely that's a bad message to be sending out in a driving song - speed kills kids, clunk click every trip!

There's going to be a theme for each CD? I'd like to see how that goes over, since everyone will probably latch onto one "themed" album and others will probably pass for another theme. Maybe one of the 190s will include a norma theme? :D

Wow, I'm not looking forward to a race-themed SEB at all. There's little variety in that, and now I'm probably not gonna get to hear Looking For Lovers yet! :(

Unfortunately, D1 Grand Prix seems to be the only possible candidate for Saifam's track - that song is such a rip-off of Tekno Samurai that I actually sang that track's lyrics over it and it didn't feel artificial.
