Eurobeat will not live if only one country that is already disillusioned does little about it.
The fortunate thing is there are creative minds contributing back into the Eurobeat world, not just from Japan but from all around the world. Eurobeat in its current structure may die, sure; but Eurobeat as a genre is thriving most amongst its more productive fans. The only problem is people are not hearing the new creations but are stuck with rehashes of songs already published.

tl;dr: It may not be avex or Japan alone that keeps Eurobeat alive. Heck, it may not even be Italy (alone)!
A lot's changed in the decade and a half I've been here.

Some good news from Avex :D
They're going to promote Eurobeat.

So we can expect some nice things this year.
I hope these months, they will be able to revive the genre.
If can't, they should slow down the songs imo.

Looks like Saifam did a "remix" of Mela - Sandy now... also listed as being 2 BPM slower o_O It seems that all the "remixes" are ending up on SEB so maybe we'll be seeing it on 203 or 204?

The problem with that is that I don't really want remixes of older songs appearing on new SEBs that promise a renewed interest in Eurobeat. Feels like I'm being a little jipped if you ask me. Besides, what? Has Saifam ran out of ideas for new music. If you aski me, they should get with the program.

Well its not like Sandy is that much older. It came out a few months ago, and it could be just that Avex didn't like the original version and requested changes. I mean the "remixes" for Never Ending Love and Technological World both ended up on SEB while the original versions go unlicensed.

Axtyally the original Never Ending Love version credited to Debbie Key was on EuroPanic vol. 1, so I guess Victor Corp licenced it :???: Anyway, What I don't want is Avex to showcase a bunch of Saifam remixes 10 SEBs down the line. Get the Diabolik guy to sing a new song or something, you know what I mean?

Well for Never Ending Love I meant the first Tipsy & Tipsy cover.

Tell me about it. I actually thought Saifam was breaking well out of there slump when they put out songs like Technological World, Ivanhoe, and Superphenomena, but sadly that peak was short-lived. At least throughout 2008 (a very weak year for the label), they were still producing lots of original songs; almost everything they make these days is a rehash of something. As Javy stated a while ago, they're just making songs for money, not because they're actually inspired.

To be fair, Eurogrooves/Time and Hi-NRG Attack were (and arguably still are) in the same situation as Saifam. Back in 2007/8, Time were especially notorious for their remakes and blatant rehashes; likewise, I don't think Hi-NRG Attack is particularly inspired by anything these days and just wants their monthly cash-in from Avex/Juno/iTunes. A-Beat C and GGM too seem to experience these episodes, albeit less frequently.

What I'm saying is that all labels tend to go through a phase like this, it's just that Saifam and HRG have been in the slump for a particularly long period of time now. Saifam and HRG may have avid followers no matter what they put out, but how much are the fans willing to put up with? They're testing their fans' patience, and that's bad.

I guess it's a good thing Saifam's eurobeat has some of the best replay value of any label. I can listen to practically anything from their modern golden era (1999 to 2006) several times and still not be tired of it. It's a very strange case in which they're probably one of my very favorite labels in terms of older stuff, yet one of my least favorites regarding current material.

In TIME's /Eurogrooves' defense; while they did put out a remake track on every cd, they also dished out 1-2 new trax per cd as well. HRG Attack have a lot of great new music. Try My Sister, Anthem, Ninjatronic, Black Jack...and have you heard Lady Energy -The Night of Thunder? It's just that Avex is choosing the same old- same old

So the Sandy Remix has a completely different synth hook now. Maybe they got that angry email from DIMA and thats why they changed it. Its also like a minute longer now too

I actually enjoy the remix much more than the original. It just feels more natural. Its also probably because I never liked Let The Music PLays haha.
