Live For You by Dave Simon is easily the most "emo-sounding" eurobeat track I've heard; the high, delicate synthline paired with Dave Simon's weeping vocals are what make it seem like this to me.

It's not "depressing", but I think when you take the time to consider the lyrics and melody of So Fragile by Pamsy, you find quite a touching and sad song beneath all the electronica.

Though not depressing, Betty Lou - Any More is quite the angsty break up song masked with sugar happiness haha

Off the top off my head and for the title alone comes Kasanova- Tragedy. The "total Zero" line is bigtime emo. Another big one is "Shame" also by Kasanova. Poor guy :P

As for female insert whatever Elena Ferretti song that comes to mind. Dall Ora excels at the meloncholic Aishubeat

It is. It's a brilliant song in all respects but it might be just that certain hopelessness that makes it my #1 <3

Funny I see this thread again , cuz I think today I heard one of the most tragic excuses for a song out of AbeatC in years. I was almost brought to tears

Mega NRG-Ddd Initial D(My Car Is Fantasy) )ABeatC)

has anyone else heard this atrocity? This Song can be the spokesperson for everything that ABEATC can do wrong in one song. Starting with the wishy washy airy Intro. I remeber this style from Analise songs a few years back. Then thos aweful airy synths. The Riff is practically nonexsistant since it sounds exactly like the chorus. The rest of the song goes by like a ghost, and the chorus is so laughable and sounds so ridiculous that I myself had to turn down the volume, as I thought what were they thinking when they wrote this? The theme is light years from the vibe of the song. I don't watch these animi cartoons , but I but I know it's about racing and this song doesn't make wanna race anything, but out of the room. I would be surprised if anyone added this song to thier Mega NRG Man top 10. It's easily the worst song Mega NRG Man has ever put out and I'm not surprised if this was the final straw that made him walk outr of the studio.

How's that for depressing :(

Melody Castellari delivered many awesome melancholic vocals on Hi NRG Attack during the glory days:

to name a few, most melancholic love songs:
Louise - My Love Romance
Maddy Layne - U Never Say Goodbye
Lilly - I'll Never Leave You Alone

And my all-time favourite melancholic eurobeat track is:
Pizza Girl - Crazy For You

The lyrics, the melody, the vocal work and the instruments create a vibrant emotion, I hope we will see some more new material from this vocalist in the near future. I especially want Delta's Capaldi to write songs for her.

Take Your TIME- Mike Freeman and Give It Up- De Niro are especially dilevered beautifully by Gianni Coraini.

and the classic What Kinda Cure- Lou Grant is classic meloncholic Italo beat.

Yeah, I'm a big fan of Tomas Marin, and that's one of his worst songs in my opinion too.

Even though I LOVE this song, Do You Wanna Fly? by Norma Sheffield is depressing. I think it's about someone who's died, but I could be wrong on that.

See.... I have this really stupid but funny idea about Eurobeats.

Most of them are like... pretty positive songs for the most part. Now the people I like to make fun of most with this idea is like Dave Rodgers or Niko. Both work great because they have that crazy lead synth thing going on although Franz Tornado would also work because he is so goofy.

BUT... Negative Eurobeats.

Stuff like.....

" I Lost my job today." ( crazy happy lead synth)
" My Car is reaaalllyy slowww" ( More crazy lead synth)
" Nobody likes me." ( To the next level lead synth)
" I'mm never gonna scooreee!!!"

... kinda like what country music is like... but with crazy high energy Eurobeats. You can really mix it up with Negative Eurobeats too... You can cover stuff like. I have a headache, I'm really tired today, and even more mundane stuff in Franz Tornado mode like, I spilled my coffee. OWOWOWOW NO!

Like If M.O.V.E were subject to this style the rap guy would be like. NO!!! HELL NO!!!! UH HUH!!!! NO WAY!!!!! Instead of like being YEAH!!! Or YES!!!

I joke about this all the time with my girlfriend and mother.... Who both seem to think Max Power is about detergent.

Of course the night would NEVER be on fire and Tokyo would be ready for bed at about 8 pm. Hence why Negative Eurobeats don't exist and for good reason.

I think the song Initial DDD is okay. It's cheesy but I guess In some ways that for me is almost a plus in Eurobeat.

Still if we are going to have a song about Initial D, Speed Car beats that one by a long shot.

There is a song called Back In Black by Nando. The melody is standard upbeat Eurobeat, but take alisten to the lyrics. Seems he is back for his fans, but only after a terrible tragedy.

Does anyone know if the lyrics have any truth to them?

There are so many things about this post I agree with, it's amazing.
Also, LOL Max Power Detergent. That does sound like something you would see in the cleaning aisle...

Anyway, for depressing eurobeat, some of the saddest songs to me are:

Go On / Gary Low
Non-Stop Searching / Gary Low
If You Wanna Stay / Norma Sheffield
Tell Me Why / Sophie

Surprisingly, there aren't many "depressing" songs out there (in my opinion) but there are plenty of songs with melodies just as beautiful (take Mystery Of Our Love by Christy for example) but aren't really "sad" or "depressing."

You are touching on the meloncholic synth progression. Songs like Sophie- World, Mike Freemen- Take Your TIME, Maddy Layne- Joy & Sorrow . Basically Aishu Eurobeat. They weren't really meant to be sad, but they are very moving.
