Maurizio DeJorio @ SinclaireStyle

Post by Sadie » 16 Aug 2008, 18:13

Site: http://www.sinclairestyle.net/

I got bored the other day at work on break, so I started looking around eurobeat related websites... I wandered onto Andrea Leonardi's series of pages, and found that a few months ago SinclaireStyle was updated with pages about Maurizio DeJorio and Bratt's hyper techno female vocalist, Roberta Graná (information and pictures are located in the 'Staff' and 'Events' sections).

I'm not sure if this has been posted previously... But I was excited to see the DeJorio information!!

What stuns me is, for all his popularity under the Niko, D. Essex, Mako and Marko Polo, with Sinclairestyle he's sung a whopping ONE song. I imagine this is not due to Sinclairestyle's decisions, but Avex's.

I'm only going to type this "loud" so some of the Avex reps can read it clearly. *breathes in deeeeeeply...*

WHY THE HECK IS AVEX NOT BEGGING ON THEIR KNEES FOR MORE NIKO SONGS?

It doesn't make sense to me. Shouldn't they try to revive his once immense popularity? Bring the biggest of stars up and the others will follow. Perhaps this is a problem the new director will fix.

ADD-ON: And oh BTW, Grana isn't just the Hyper Techno vocalist. She sang "Move On Now Baby" and a few of Sinclaire's songs at Delta not long before he departed.
A lot's changed in the decade and a half I've been here.

He wasn't Mako. That was Nando Bonini form Mike Hammer and Maio & Co. fame.

Nando was Dr. Love and Elvis and Nando among others :)

I often wonder how shaken up the Eurobeat world would get if Maurizio sang under Max Cover again.

She is not. Also she is 100% NOT Roberta Grana

As for Nando. We should be seeing some new tracks from him at Sinclairestyle in the near future.

If they do a 'Running in the 90 s' 20XX version called 'Running in 2008' or whatever, I'll be very upset. XD

You must have sort of insight, because Fernando Bonini said he had left Eurobeat scene for good to Christian Rock music, but stranger things have happened and I, for one would be ecstatic at his Eurobeat return

Did he say that himself? I recall newfield saying that DeJorio was out of biz forever as well, and he actually did return at SinclaireStyle.

Me and Javi talk occasionally to Sinclaire himself via emails. We'll see what transpires of this though its interesting that a lot of the Sinclaire Style and Delta songs on 190 are Bonini... A revelation perhaps like Van T.K. was on 150? We'll see...

NO SHIT. :) That's why I said 'a few months ago' when I posted it. There had simply not been an actual topic made about it, and I thought it deserved one.
