Where can I hear upfront Eurobeat?

Post by Bonkers » 07 Nov 2010, 23:40

Amazon.co.jp isn't providing samples for the 200+ SEB's, and many of the songs are not on youtube, unless I'm not looking right. I would love to hear samples of the songs before I ordered the cd.

Musico and iTunes are going to be a pretty good source of hearing samples. Even if you don't have a Japanese iTunes account, you can still listen to samples (they have the most SEBs releases on the net) then you can go elsewhere to purchase (I'm a fan of CD Japan and YesAsia)

Try checking out the threads for each cd on this forum. The links posted should still work? It really seems counterproductive for AVEX to remove them. :???:

Yes, the links do still work.

For speed, you can use the below link as a template to listen to the samples of all songs from the SEB 200's.

The link below will give you track 1 (denoted by the -01 at the end) of Super Eurobeat vol. 201 (denoted by the AVCD-10201 - which is the CD catalogue number):

http://cnt01.labelgate.com/morawin/top/ ... 201-01.asx

To listen to track 2 from SEB 201, simply change the final number to -02, track 3 would be -03 etc. etc. If you want to listen to samples from Vol. 202, changed the catalogue number AVCD-10202 and so on (be sure to change both of the catalogue numbers in the link and not just the last one).

Hope that makes sense :)

Just a note on 209's sample, the samples released by Avex on their website and those posted to the music stores like itunes and musico are totally different and mostly showcases different parts of the song so it is in fact quite possible to hear an "entire" song just by the samples.

Wow...After sampling some of the 200+ Eurobeats, I'm excited to hear the music still has an upbeat feel with chirpy vocals as well as more deep female vocals. I'm also happy to hear the chick from "Lolita/Virginelle" is still singing cause I like her voice.

Good Love & Mystery from 204 is one of my top tracks from the decade, and definitely Lolita's best since she switched labels to Go-Go's Music. :)
