So I take it you don't mind if we have another SEB183-185 situation where about 6-7 songs across those albums were an outright rip-off of another song released in the year prior (mostly from Time)? What's the point of buying the album then if a large number of the songs are just rehashes of stuff you've heard previously?

This isn't a matter of borrowing a few elements here and there from other eurobeat songs; the synth in 'Don't Forget To Love Me' was taken in its entirety from 'Sunday Morning', and that's just pure laziness. I don't mind when producers take some elements from other songs, but I can't stand it when the rehashing is so blatantly obvious and intentional. That's the main reason why I couldn't bare to listen to HRG anymore back in the 170s-190s. And you know what? If it's happened once already, it'll most definitely happen again by the same producer in the near future.

As much as I love Capaldi, I really hope he rediscovers those creative juices again soon.

Can't say I agree 100%. besides, I'd rather have some rehashed TIME than no TIME and if I remeber correctly; it was mostly the intros that were rehashed on some of the remakes. Wild Night= Love For Money 2007. Speedman= Heartbreaker 2007. Plus those songs were also the cream of the crop on those cds. As for HRG, they do rehash alot, but mix it up just enuff to give the songs a different vibe.

I havn't heard that song, "Don't forget to love me", but if it does sound like "Sunday Morning", than I'll proboly forget about it quickly.

What I do remeber is that that SEB period of the 180s was a lot better than this period. At least that's what I think? Of course I wouldn't trade anything for my extendeds, but the songs were better and Dall Ora fever was alive and well.

Don't Forget To Love Me does borrow very heavily from Sunday Morning, but I also have to say that I'd much rather listen to Sunday Morning any day of the week - Emmanuelle sounds like a fairly competent yet mediocre session singer, and the melody doesn't quite have the same spark that was present in Sunday Morning. Don't Forget To Love Me, to my ears, is Delta elevator music (in other words, it washes over me without leaving any strong negative or positive feelings).

I find myself skipping a lot more of these tracks than in previous releases, which is a shame. The only tracks I can be guaranteed to play from start to finish are:

1. ACE / CRAZY ON EMOTION
2. VIRGINELLE / BYE BYE GIRL
(although it's nowhere near as awesome as Gobbi's previous 4 or 5 tracks)
3. OCEANIA / DANCE DANCE LET YOU GO (the first time I've felt excited about Sun Fire synths - some of the old A-Beat C spark has returned!)
6. MISTIKA / RAIN (love this Dima style :))
9. CY-RO / NO MONEY NO HONEY
10. DREAM FIGHTERS / THE END OF THE WORLD

I might post a review later when I have the energy...

What's worse is that the vocalist has some skills and it's a shame they were used on a used production. Plus Sunday Morning was better. :(

Hopefully this won't become a trend. For all we know ave asked Delta to rehash Sunday Morning...

I like more on this than the previous volume.

My top highlights after more than just the initial listen:

Rich Hard - On Your Wings. A bit like the Fastway track, well arranged in it's manic energy but with twists like how it turns in different direction from 'you' in the chorus. The screechy downward fanfare is the only part I don't like so much. But plenty of good in this. Just playing this alongside Ministry of Power just now and I think this blows it away.

Linda Ross - Love is Danger [British Healing RMX Extended]. Yeh I know it doesn't fit so well into the compilation but even so I remember finding the original version memorable enough and this version doesn't really disappoint. I actually find the quieter parts quite tastefully arranged as well.

Some other songs that seem popular here I may have found interesting at first listen but I went off them a bit like The End of the World.
