Today's Tune
Yes! This track is probably one of the best Delta track ever created! Thanks Newfield for this great tune! I'm kind of happy to have gotten the Extended for this track because this is where it really shines.WNight wrote:Today's song:
Mad Desire / Stephy Martini - Very epic song with great vocals.

King Kong & The DJ Girls- King Kong (FLEA)
Dave Rodgers had already taken over the Mauro Farina alias. This song is 100% fun. If you wanna listen to Pasquini have a real hoot of a TIME singing, listen to this. Its a rare treat and so unlike Pasquinin's more rocky serious style. He actually says the line " I like Bananas" and " I am a Dee Jees Jungle"

You know, I hear everyone ranting about how amazing this track is, and I can't actually remember what it goes like! I need to try listening to it again to see if I agree with it being the best ever Delta track. I doubt it's a Super Rider or The Top though, so I doubt it...Lebon14 wrote:Yes! My track for the day is ALLELUIA JAPAN / JACKIE O
I personally think Stefania Martin has had plenty of better performances throughout the years, but Mad Desire was one of the first songs I heard on Super Eurobeat, so it has a bit of a special connection to me. It's still a great and unique piece from the eurobeat genre. (note: Stefania Martin is actually probably my favorite female eurobeat vocalist right now, so some of this might be personal opinion)

I also couldn't recall "Mad Desire", so I decided to do a mini Stephy marathon and came to the conclusion that the champion is and allways will the EPIC....
Emotions
Now, that's one of DELTA's best songs ever! I'm even sad that it was never released on vinyl. I really can't recall anythiing else of hers besides "Speed Demon", which I also loved, oh; and "Awake", but those are at DIMA studios, but Emotions resides nicely in a mp3 folder of mine's called "The Best of DELTA"

I think the major problem I always have is that I adore the Al Benati & Romi track of the same name on Blast!, so any time someone mentions the song name that's all I think of. Anyway, I just listened to Mad Desire, and it's okay but far from Stephy's best (that would be Emotions at Delta, or Heart's on Fire at Akyr). There's a lack of dynamism in the percussion in particular, and certain layers of Mad Desire sound flat, while others seem to be given more prominence than I'd expect (such as the guitars).
Anyway, it's all subjective at the end of the day, but at least I now have a vague idea of that song in my head for the next time everyone starts comparing songs to it...
