This.
The new director has a new codename we don't know. At least, I haven't heard about it.

No, 7A wasn't fired - I remember she was taking a step back in a sense and would be assisted by a mystery director - to be honest, it probably is DJ Boss. But yeah, a little bit of news on the official SEB blog or something wouldn't go amiss. Is that just not something that people do in Japan or something? Are albums just released with little or no notice? :D

Can someone explain who 7A is? How many Eurobeat DJs are there in (what's left) of the Eurobeat scene in Japan? Who makes the decisions in all this?

7A is the director/overseer of the SEB series (for marketing, song selection, etc.). As far as the DJs, are you speaking of the DJs that make megamixes for the SEB series or just some random club DJ?

I highly, highly doubt that we will see the return of Eurogrooves. It's been way too long since a new production.

I don't understand why Elena, Gambogi, Deleo and the rest don't just affiliate themselves with another lable. If in fact; Dall Ora has decided to call it quits. I think they would sound great singing on David Dima's Music label.

As far as the DJs, I guess I am meaning the iconic names to the genre.

Maybe they've just become more interested in other projects in the past few years. The fact that eurobeat is barely even alive these days probably left them uninterested in continuing, at least under a label other than the one they were used to for such a long time. The only real possibility would be if Elena Ferretti joined Sunfire as Valentina/Queen of Times/Margaret, but she hasn't been active at Pasquini's label in over a decade.

Well, they formally announced the SEB221 release date (month?) to be January 2013 at the velfarre x cyber TRANCE event at ageHa. Something we already knew though.

Not a surprise, but nice to have a month at least. The sad thing is I no longer feel as excited as I should at the prospect on this. I think my tastes might be shifting purely because of the lack of new regular material to keep me engaged. Sad but very true...

Only Eurobeat Forever vol. 2 can save things now for me... Please rekindle my fire!!

Meh... I thought this would at least come out sometime this year. If it's really this hard just to release one extended album of Super Eurobeat these days, I doubt SEB 222 is going to come out anytime soon afterwards.
